Level 7 Boss
Planning on seeing a zed tomorrow, however this one has popped up very close to me. The Bose has been replaced by an alpine head unit, perhaps she used to belong to someone on here. Apart from the wheels, it looks decent. thoughts? now not sure if I should go trade or private, will be based on the condition of the car. http://www.villageautocentre.co.uk/14708/stock.htm http://www.villageautocentre.co.uk/14708/about.htm The private zeds I'm after, first one has been up for ages and the price has come down dramatically http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201245491356437/sort/default/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/body-type/coupe/transmission/manual/model/350_z/make/nissan/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/radius/1500/page/2/postcode/ub48hq?logcode=p Hopefully get this tomorrow http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201211184280779/sort/default/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/body-type/coupe/transmission/manual/model/350_z/make/nissan/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/page/2/radius/1500/postcode/ub48hq?logcode=p
Ian
I'm sure the 2nd one (MY06 ZED) used to belong to Keyser
Keyser
Good spot Ian Looks like my old one and I defo had that plate - If it is mine it has/had a clicky rear axel when I sold her and a not so good touch up on the stone chips on the front bumper, also a small scratch had been repared just behind the drivers side headlight on the wing, other than that and the milage has gone up a bit she was solid for me (didn't have that one long) Good luck finding the right one
The Bounty Bar Kid
Look for one with Rays. Cheaper to get hold of on a car than off the car. Also much lighter than the standard alloys, so car feels better to drive.
Level 7 Boss
I'm an idiot, didn't notice that only the trade zed has rays. Now I'm pretty much torn. How difficult is it to put rays on? Edited November 24, 2012 by Level 7 Boss
Ricey
I'm an idiot, didn't notice that only the trade zed has rays. Now I'm pretty much torn. How difficult is it to put rays on? How do you mean difficult? If you try to put them on only using your mouth whilst fighting a Harp Seal then pretty hard. If you opt for a conventional jack and wheel brace then pretty easy.
Level 7 Boss
Should have framed the question better. Should I go for a cheaper car, with less miles but sans rays? Or go for a car at a dealer, circa 60k miles, but with rays and apline HU? Tyres on the private sale are Nankang Ultra Sport Contisportcontract 3 on the front, and Kendal Radial on the rear, car also in need of a wheel alignment. "A man was killed today after he lost control of his car at 3mph and span violently into a tree" or "A man was killed today after he started his car which promptly burst into flames. Forensics say he was running mismatched tyres" I'd just find one with rays mate - save the ballache. You'll end up with a set of crappy stock wheels to store or shift as well then. Ricey
Also I really like that silver one with the refurb'd rays. Dark grey wheels on Silver = Win!
