Dave-350
Hey people, I recently purchased my JDM 350Zee and i'm still checking out all the gadgets and what-not... I have a problem with the digital rev limiter settings. No matter what I set the max RPM too, it still redlines at 6.5k. Am i missing something? I've currently stuck it to 8k, but still it doesnt go past 6.5k. Any ideas?
Ian
Its not a rev limiter, Its a shift light. Whatever RPM you set it to, it will flash at that RPM to remind you to change gear
Dave-350
Oh, silly me! So why does it let you set it to 8k when it redlines at 6.5k?
Ian
At a guess the centre gauges have been replaced at some point When I sold mine it had gauges from the HR fitted so read higher than the actual rev limit of the car. It was great, It meant I didn't have an annoying red light flashing at me all the time
samsniss350z
The rev limiter no matter what you set it to will only tell you when to change gear. the rev limiter will not rev past the 6500 rev limit as this is the highest the rev limit will go! Dave-350
Haha I posted this the day I bought the car, I think it's cause the HR limits around 7k or something. Little embarrassed now though...

If you "forget" to change gear unless a light tells you to I'd buy an auto or a push bike

AMT
Mines is set for 7500, but half the time I end up changing at 6 cos my ears are on automatic pilot lol
CrumbMC
Mines set at around 6300 or something. if you're on it in 3rd / 4th gear when the revs are building more slowly then it is a little more accurate than the noise.
