Diab2005
Hi Guys Just wanting some advice on tyre pressures on my new zed. It has 18" rays on it and is an 04 reg the standard on the door sill says 35 on front and rear. Ive spoke to SparksCW (Who I bought the car off) and he recommended to use the standard. What are peoples thoughts with it being winter also will this make a difference? Finally how often does everyone check their tyre pressures. I do 20 miles a day in mine and am unsure on frequencies of maintenance checks. Thanks in advance guys
JetSet
I always set mine to 33/34 when cold as I find on hot days it'll go up to 39 and even on cold days will hit 37. I bought a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System from Maplins for £100 which gives me instant readouts at all times. I also invested a fiver in a plug in pump which I use when the pressure drops to 32 cold...so far in almost 2 years I think I've used it 3 or 4 times. Dblock
only need to drop the tyre pressure if it snows. I wouldnt unless its really mad snowy IMO. Its easier to get through snow with a smaller foot print. Less to cut through/flatten and more PSI on the tyre as it bites in.
