Stew
My Dad got a new car last week, Had a look at it and it was very nice. Went to see it in the daylight yesterday and he gave me a shot.... Big brakes..... on the back. The front, can't see brilliantly but the caliper is MASSIVE. Fat mans Autobahn stormer, stuck on like an M badge..... or is it? They love an AMG badge Now it becomes clear Aggressive? Spot my Dads admiring glances.... Bargetastic! Gay, lesbian and Bi Turbo??? Money shot... If it blows up we know to find. :bose: http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/stewart-83/?action=view¤t=E4605D66-F44D-4C74-92C9-6CC5E7122B5F-3759-0000010C82256F12.mp4 To say I was impressed is an understatement, it takes iron fist in a silk glove to whole new level for me. It cruises so well and so quietly, open the throttle and all hell breaks loose - very fast and noisy! All while getting a massage from the thai lady in the seats. It has the AMG Performance Pack so has a bit of extra power and torque too. Officially Mercedes say it does 0-62 in 4.4 secs however Road and Track tested it and saw it in 3.9, I can believe that..... Don't worry planet savers, it has stop/start too! Daryl
Amazing car! My mums husband as a previous CL500,and that is beautiful, this must be on another planet! Does it fit in the garage? Looks like it could be abit tight.lol
Stew
No idea Daryl. There is an SL in one of the garages already..... The other side has a snow blower and my nieces toys, BBQ etc. no space! It will live on the drive, Shogun will be used if the CL gets too hairy in winter. Stew
Stop/start technology and a host of economy improvements. It's the 2012 with the 5.5 twin turbo rather than the 6.2 NA which was horrendous. Even with the Performance PAckage (570+ bhp and 670 lb/ft) and a HUGE kerb weight it manages 20-25 MPG without too much fuss. It was showing 20.7 yesterday and he's done nothing but rev it needlessly and floor it for the past few days! So not that bad really. Mine was 5 litre v8 300bhp 10 years old and for the 15 or so miles I drove it during my ownership I never saw over 18...........nursing it.
