dErZ
I can hear a faint hissing noise when listening to either the radio or cds. Just sounds like static. Is this normal? I have the bose headunit.

taffyjason
mine started hissing when i changed my HU, very quiet though, i presume a bad earth
H5
It is called floor noise - can be improved by sorting out the earth and the power supply. However, ultimately it is normally down to the weakest link in the system, often the OEM amp and cabling. If the pitch changes when you rev the engine then it is definitely the earth.
