CrumbMC
I just got back from 2 weeks fishing in the Florida keys. I'm not a keen fisherman or anything but I had a chance to go with my dad and his mate for a great price. Got some real big fish / sharks and there were a few funny moments along the way. 2 especially funny parts but I'll let you see them for yourselves. Here's the Video that my dad's friend made, I can't figure out how to directly post the vid on the new forum style so if someone can tell me or something I'll edit the post. CrumbMC
nice vid, is that tarpon thats leaping so high? Yeah I got two, the really big one (about 180lb) that you see next to the boat, and the small-ish one (about 60lb) that jumped into the boat. The one that jumps Really high was quite a big one that leaped about 4/5 times and eventually spat the hook. i was gutted Edited October 28, 2012 by CrumbMC
Ebized
Excellent vid - you clearly had a fabulous time and loved the skill getting one to leap into the boat!
CrumbMC
loved the skill getting one to leap into the boat! HAHA. I didn't try to. The fish did quite a bit of damage to the rod holders and if it had hit one of us, could've hurt quite a lot. it was lucky it was only a small one. This was the first tarpon I caught. after it jumped very close to the boat, i said "do they ever jump into the boat?" to which i was told, "no." My dad moves out of the way probably one second before it would have hit him. Edited October 28, 2012 by CrumbMC
