Sly@Kaizer Motor
Michelin's are good choice (they are also the most popular tyre brand for the GTRs nowadays). I can get a full set fitted for £745 if anybody interested.

The 19" set is a bit more expensive at £990 for the Michelin or Dunlop SP Sport 1 for £840 fitted.

Darren-B
Well I`ve just been out this evening to scrub in my new set of SS`s. All I can say on here is "It was the most fun I`ve had in 6weeks & the grip levels in the dry are outstanding!" I paid £760 for mine & that included the disposal of the old tyres, new valves & balance. Plus it was done by someone I can trust, so was able to leave the car with him, knowing that it wouldn`t be driven or toyed with & an added bonus it was cleaned inside & out
Watshot
The £745 is for a set of 245/45/18 and 225/45/18. Is that an 'inclusive' price? (Valves, balance, disposal and VAT).

They are OK I guess most of the time but a set of Michelin's at that price can't be turned down! Just working out whether to have my Rays refurbished now or have the tyres fitted and wheels refurbed in spring, David

Wasn't at all concerned about you damaging the rims Sly - am familiar with your work/setup from the GTROC - is just a sequencing issue for me to work out. I suspect I'll do tyres soon and leave rims until springtime. David
trancematic
I actually put a full set on yesterday £801 from ATS fitted. [MPSS] Thought i was driving a different Z on my way home. Some idiot who had traded the car to a garage in Bradford in his/her wisdom decided that a budget Sunny Tyre would serve the purpose well.........Oh my god. Told the dealer the Tyres were not what you put on a performance car and i tried in vain to drop him on the price as the car was very tidy apart from the tyres, managed to get £300 of the purchase price but i new from posts on here that the tyres were going to be around a £1000. Anyway with my new boots on and my dashboard lights now fixed I'm happy. Edited November 13, 2012 by trancematic
