ric
Hi guys, Hope all is well. This place looks very different!! I had my MOT done a few weeks ago, and on it they noted: Rear Tie bar/rod slightly distorted Rear Tie bar/rod corroded but seriously weakened The garage that I use have mentioned this to me previously, and said I'd pop in so they could point out to me exactly which piece needs attention/replacing but I've just not got around to it. I've just had my car serviced by Nissan today, and they noted: rear body anti-twist bar bardly corroded and pushed towards fuel tank So obviously I want to get this seen to. Nissan have quoted me quite a lot to fix, but I wanted to get a feel for: - Exactly what this part is - what sort of prices I should be paying - If I can get any aftermarket upgraded parts instead I have google'd this afternoon and can't really find anything which is described as the above that pin points exactly what this item is, does anyone know? I believe the part number is 74870CD2000 but I have no way of searching or referencing this unfortunately. Any help much appreciated! MeisterR
Well, a quick look at a Whiteline Adjustable Rear Anti-Roll Bar is around £170. So that is the cost of parts I am assuming... I am assuming that is the part... can't think of any other Anti-Twist / Tie-Rod Bar.

I am assuming that is the part... can't think of any other Anti-Twist / Tie-Rod Bar. Yeah, I asked if it was the anti-roll bar, but he said not. After google'ing all night, I think i've found it: http://www.conceptzperformance.com/cart/description.php?II=6623&Car_Type=NIS350&UID=2012070900564066.249.73.1 Having said that though, I can't really seem to find anything UK based for this part. Does anyone know if the above part is what I talked about in the above? Thanks in advance
MeisterR
Is it just an reinforcement bar? Is it part of the subframe? Is it even needed there? Not something I come across personally. Good luck, and let us know how you get on.

Keyser
Is it just an reinforcement bar? Yes Is it part of the subframe? No But indirectly bolts to it. Is it even needed there? Yes (Well Nissan seem to think so ) The "W" bar goes across the rear just in front of the wheels and strengthens the chassis, thread a while ago where someone cut a bit out to fit a Zorst They do rust badly and if that's the part you need I wondered if they meant the drop links?
