brillomaster
I cant say im that surprised to be honest... imo starting at £500 is too high to get people interested. P'raps start at £300, and hopefuly get a few bidders. Also if the tyres are on 3-4 mm of tread, they'll need replacing in the not too distant future... and also white is a very marmite colour for wheels, you would get more interest if they were standard! EDIT - just noticed mismatched tyres pretty much all round, so would definitely need replacing! i'm lowering my starting bid to £200, sorry! Neilp
You may struggle due to the damaged rim. This will be a major factor in the price as it needs repaired
200sxray
i have spoken to a guy at "the wheel specialist" in a local town called westerhope and he stated with out having the wheel in his factory he could only say, if no vibration are felt through the steering wheel and if the wheel doesnt loose air the wheel isnt showing signs of being buckled or unrepairable my friend with a set of AEZ Bmw wheels had his unbuckled for £60 i think the wheels are priced as cheap as ever.. a set is going on ebay for £545 with part worn tyres just been refurbed..... Now if i add it up £250 Wheels £60 x2 5-6mm Part worns £60-80 Refurb/ fix on the alloy 370 > 390 that to me still works out at better value for money! Now i have had people say .. well i dont like the colour so i would have to change that.. 150 pounds for that... and postage 24.99.. and i would want New tyres all round £300-400 pounds .... i am sorry but i am not selling these for charity i am not selling these soooo cheap to cover what the buyer wants to do to them.. thats like buying a car and going...... right well i want coilovers so i will give you £800 less so i can make the car better.. if the buyer wants to do all the Optional choices above..then thats their Choice!! i can only factor in the basic repair costs and two tyres to make these cheaper then a similar set. Do you feel better after that wee rant bud? I think what you need to say to your self as not everyone will like the colour and they are slightly damaged.... thus this is going to put people off. Someone will eventually buy them for the right price... it may just take some time
Neilp
no its like a buying a car that has got a fault on it and then knocking money off for the repair, this happens very regularly. Its nothing to do with wanting to make the car better and knocking money of for coilovers. The fact is you have damaged goods for sale, If I was selling a damaged vehicle then it would be priced accordingly. A decent set will sell for around 300 quid in reasonable condition, 400 with decent tyres. The ones on ebay are up for that price, but it may not be the price they sell at as you have already found out by advertising on there. It like me putting my car up for sale on ebay at 25k, it doesn't mean it will sell at that and it doesn't mean that its worth that much. You are forgetting that they aren't rare on here and aren't as valuable as you may think and a lip is damaged. Its maybe worth you repairing them and then putting them back up for sale on here. Neilp
I'm not trying to put people off your sale btw. Things just take time to sell. I think for somebody wanting a set of these 250 is a great price, it just has to be the correct person. Theyre just not for me at that price with the damage and for what i'm going to use them for I don't want to take any risks As I said before I wish you every luck with the sale, 250 is a reasonable price. It may just take time.
200sxray
well they are priced at what they are priced at, the lip in my opinion isnt as damaged as the picture makes out. ..... they are priced at what i think reflect the condition in comparison to the others i have seen..... simple.. if the senario was that the car was broken... then fine the price should be reduced to pay a portion of the repair. this senario is .... the wheels are in working condition... they are slightly damaged BUT have already been reduced to take this into account! and i am not reducing them any more because people need to factor in new tyres and a different colour......... i have factored in the Repair work and tyres to make them road worthy.. but i am not funding some ones tyre ussage and wheel colour choice! £250 i think is a good price Esp if some one either knows what they are doing or has spare tyres to put on.
