smudgedon
Terminal velocity wouldn't be anywhere near 750mph for a human, surely?
Keyser
Terminal velocity wouldn't be anywhere near 750mph for a human, surely? From the link - First human to break the sound barrier unaided by a vehicle. Kittinger reached 614mph (988km/h) - about Mach 0.9 - on his descent. Baumgartner is expected to achieve a speed in excess of 690mph (1,110km/h) within about 40 seconds of leaving his capsule. With so little atmosphere at 102,800ft, he will drop very rapidly So we shall see I wish him the very best

Wasso
If you roll Oblivion and Air into one at Alton Towers then wouldn't that just suffice. Nuts is one word for this chap. I certainly wouldn't do it.

HaydnH
I doubt anything will go wrong which would cause a fatality, this is probably safer than most jumps by experienced skydivers at standard drop zones considering the amount of work that's gone in to it. I assume he's got a Cypres of some sort so that even if he loses conciousness the canopy will open at a set altitude.
