stu1986
Hi all I have got a 2009 370Z with sat nav, is it possible to take this all out and replace it with the cubby hole type in the top, I know the heater controls are different but wondered if it's a straight swap? Reason being I want to replace my whole sound system and figured this would be the best method as there is a facia panel available
Mikesding
Quick question, why?
glrnet
Because the satnav is pants? Not everyone likes it
ThriftyFifty
Also looking to do this on my 350Z... replies welcome . My seller said Nissan told him it would cost £100-200 to get it replaced with a fully carpeted cubby... Got an alpine unit which is miles better, and more storage is always good! Is it likely to change the resale value negatively considering you've basically upgraded the GPS?
stu1986
Is it a straight swap? Do all the heater controls work ok etc if I did it? Don't fancy getting it then did out it doesn't work :-/
stu1986
Also if it is a straight swap where's the cheapest place to get one from?

BigSlick
I fixed this issue by buying a non NAV version ;-) I read on the US forums that the NAV cannot be replaced or not easily anyway because of how it intergrates with the rest of the car. I posted about this Q when I joined as I wanted to know. Ive went for a non NAV as I hate it too...

Will370z
personally i love the sat nav system in the 370, one of the best ive used. Really miss it when in other cars. Sound system is good too. Will admit the timing for journeys is way out though
