New clutch for my tt Z suggestions please

Hi all,

 

As per title I am searching for a new clutch for my tt Z.

Currently the torque figure is at 400ft/lbs and 464 BHP at the fly wheel.

The winter plans are: ramp the torque up to 500ft/lbs with around 550Bhp.

Prior to that I need to replace the tired oem clutch.

I am planing to use the Z on the track but mainly it gets me to work and back.

For that reason I would like to stick with the single plate clutch.

 

Any suggestions/ recomendations are welcome.

Is it a fully forged built block? Carbonetics is the way to go for big power

Yes cossy internals fully forged

Is it the twin plate that you are suggesting?

Carbonetics is a bit hard to get hold of these days.

I'm sure I saw one on my350z last night but might be a triple plate?

I run with the ATS Carbonetic twin plate on my TT 350 Roadster

 

I also supplied and fitted an OS Giken twin plate to a 650bhp TT 350 yesterday and that is also a decent bit of kit

So using a twin plate clutch will not affect the road/ traffic drive ability in the low RPM range?

I run the Carbonetic twin plate as well as Neil said I got mine from Tarmac

 

I'm still getting used to mine - it was an on off switch when I first had it

 

Getting better as I get used to it and/or it beds in but I find it a bit more work to stay smooth in traffic - I don't really drive her in town and I have a few other things against me at slow speeds (like the rear diff) It rattles more than my JWT used to as well.

 

On track and open road its awesome

I'm sure I can do it a bit cheaper than that bud

 

I have other options in the twin plates such as Spec and competition clutches.
