Binkeygooner
Hi there all, just got my gorgeous 350Z on an 05 Plate, and I wanted to know what would be the best exhaust system to get for it, sound wise anyway ?
Wasso
Depends on your taste, check through YouTube first. Then throw some names up, search prices on the net. To be fair your question is like asking what's your favourite woman? Depends on taste.....
MITZ@CougarStore
What sort of budget do you have, the Cobra resonated system we do is a great system to replace the OEM exhaust - http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main ... cPath=1_10
glrnet
Milltek with Berks HFC's works well
Will370z
+1 on grahams recommendation, i had the milltek berks combo and loved it. There are quite a few threads on this forum where owners have posted vids of their exhausts to compare. May be helpful to track those down. SteveRS
Nismo + HFC's is also a winner, or even just the nismo exhaust alone sounds As said before, depends on your budget and the sound you want from the exhaust.
Ruddles
Buddy Club system is worth a look too. Sounds like a fighter jet though too loud for some OAP's tastes!
HaydnH
Amuse if you fancy re-mortgaging.
Arran
The Cobra resonated I have on mine sounds the best imo, I spent a while thinking and researching what one to get, will be adding silenced de cats and a Cobra y pipe in the near future. My video of the exhaust is in the cougar store section
Ian
Decatted single exit with no silencers make the best noise A bit loud for most though

Binkeygooner
Thanks, that's a lot to think about, lol, I've heard the invidea cat back is a good system but can I connect it to my standard cat till I get a performance one ? Yep, the Invidia will bolt directly on to your standard cats and you can then swap them over as and when Invidia exhausts in stock

Daryl
I have an uprated Y pipe and Scorpion, and love the noise of it. Though the Cobra sounds good, and looks like the standard exhaust.

bazmcc
Been looking through the forum at all the options guys. My OEM exhaust has just given up but since I'm looking at selling the car soon I'm thinking about replacing it with another OEM. Had a quick look online but can't find a price - has anyone got any idea? Also, how does this compare to the OEM one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-I ... 483b8a2ac9
bazmcc
I should add that my exhaust has split just in front of the back box (seems the common problem area) and that I'm just looking for something that fits existing brackets and with similar tips to the OEM. So even something similar to OEM provided it's not more expensive!
MITZ@CougarStore
The fit is always hit and miss with eBay systems from unbranded systems, we do the Scorpion for £374...

So even something similar to OEM provided it's not more expensive! You can also have a sleeve welded in place, would cost you circa £60... If you wanted a system that had tailpipes like the OEM system then the Conbra exhaust system we offer has the option to choose tailpipes similar to those found on the OEM system... Yeah, I'm always wary of eBay for car parts! Will keep the Scorpion in mind, although judging from YouTube videos I may stick with something more OEM sounding for selling it! bazmcc
And cheers for the Cobra advice too, that's the one I'd seen earlier but couldn't find again! My first hope is for just a weld job but will definitely keep this in mind! Thanks again mate
