Hennerz
Has Anyone restored the Door trims with the window Controls? As mine are scratched and looking rather tired.... ThriftyFifty
Ebay... 3M Matt Black vinyl (£14 for 1.5m x 50 CM), exactly what I'll be doing to mine soon. If that doesn't work I'll sand / paint but makes more sense to do a no damage repair first.
CrustyCrab
I just sprayed mine with this; http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165495 worked fine

jjt
Much of a challenge to remove the area in question? Or are people just masking up the surrounding area?
sparky370z
Easy to remove, don't do it in situ. Will end in disaster.only one screw and then lift out.
jjt
Cheers I've come to the general conclusion now that if something looks straightforward, it generally won't be! Nice exception here hopefully.
rtbiscuit
i hope to have some carbon dipped ones soon, currently in the process of changing supplier but should be back up and running soon.
ddcboyle
ill be spraying mine gloss black, so if u want me to do tutorial on it i can do, show how each bits removed and painted (its d.i.y job with no experiance though) lol but interior should be easier than exterior. wrap also works just need right stuff as some wont stick to plastic

4RE Leather
Sand them back and paint them worked for me Pic Whore OMG there green. coldel
i hope to have some carbon dipped ones soon, currently in the process of changing supplier but should be back up and running soon. I always have some bizarre mental image of a big boiling pot of carbon which you precariously dip bits of Zeds into when you say something like that Rich! LewisH
Ebay... 3M Matt Black vinyl (£14 for 1.5m x 50 CM), exactly what I'll be doing to mine soon. LewisH
So I ordered some of the 3M wrap mentioned above and with the help of fellow Zed bro fxn we went to work on wrapping my damaged window control panel. I bought the car a week an a half ago and this was the worst cosmetic damage. Here's how it went... The panel after we eventually got it out the car... wasn't fun as you can see the soft rubber was heavily chipped. Two and a half hours later we had wrapped our first thing ever! Very happy with the results, its not perfect but a huge improvement. Then back in the car Passenger door panel next! Does anyone know of an easy way to wrap the clip button on the center console lid? It's made of the same shoddy soft rubber and is similarly chipped.
fxn
Looks pretty decent in day light actually, was a bit worried about it after intensely staring at it under the bright lights at home

4RE Leather
Was the previous owner a Woman? My 1st Zed was and her chunky bracelet caused all the damage. It transpired that the 1st owner of my current one was. Mrs as well. It also had scratches in it.
LewisH
Thanks guys The 3M wrap I used was from Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152-x-60cm-CA ... e6e&_uhb=1 I bought the car from a guy but it has had 3 previous owners and I'm willing to bet one of them was a woman with outrageous jewelry.... or a gangsta that never took his knuckle duster off...
