Dblock
Hi guys just needing a bit of clarification. This is the type of intake tube on my car. See the bit that says emmisions tube connection. What is that? Is it a breather from the crank case or something else. I ask because the pipe on the crankcase to manifold I have put a catch can there so I was just wondering if I should do the same on this side? theheff
Won't the second nozzle on the catch can connect to that part by another tube, isn't it a vacum tube, not sure how it works or why it's there but thought the air passing through the intake tube created a vacum effect? My catch can is connected ( if you are facing the car ) on the left side from the crankcase directly to a port on the manifold. There was already a tube going there and I just put a catch can inbetween. It could be the same set up on this side I suppose but my catch can isnt connected to the intake pipe. Dblock
After more digging it turns out it is the breather. Appararebtly this side doesnt vent as much stuff but I think it might be worth while catch caning it just to keep the TB clean. Has anyone done this?
