smudgedon
My headlights have that common problem of a weird substance on the lenses. Sort of like a dried glue or something What's the best way to get rid? Tried a search but couldn't find anything!
Hennerz
Bullet magnet used this on my lights at japfest and i have used it ever since http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165527
Keyser
Do they look like this?? If so I did these on the wife's Zed with a machine polisher - medium then fine compounds and they came up like -
OllyB
That's a bit weird, literally just ordered a kit to do this on my other halfs EP3. Kit was 20 quid on eBay, made by 3m and gets good reviews http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewit ... fied=false

Siman350z
May be tree sap. Autoglym tar remover would take it off without any abrasion but any 'misting' is best got rid of with some form of polish as mentioned above. I used Autoglym paint renovator for the misting and a lot of scrubbing and they came up a treat (didn't fancy the wet and dry paper initially for fear of damaging them but i'm sure if you've got the right gradings of paper/ paste/ creams then you'd be fine)
narcotix
I did my headlights last weekend using T-Cut ... It's a lot easier if you use the Megs metal polish as metioned though ...
Shel
I did the sandpaper thing on my fto and it looked great, but it didn't last long, it came back

jables
I use the Meguiars NXT Polish as well but the misting soon comes back. Anything you can then seal it with to prevent this?
4RE Leather
We did Arrans in the Mothetcare car park last Thursday Evening. Megs and a microfiber but DA much quicker. We were going the plug the DA into a lamppost but to many bissies about:)
hoggy
i winged a bit of t-cut on mine and it comes up great, but it has come back now (4 months later at a guess). need to find something to seal it with
Shel
A friend recommended that i try Halfords rubbing compound, so i tried it today, just rubbed it on with a cloth, and it works ok, prob not a long term fix but it only took 10 mins to do so i'll just keep doing it, and they look nice and shiny now
andlid
Keyser, great job. Used Tcut and Halfords in the past, need to do it again might get a polisher though so I don't have to redo them to soon again
taffyjason
I used Brasso this weekend and it worked a treat, only problem is you can then see all the tiny chips and scratches is so clean!
MrIII
I used 2500 fine wet and dry paper and then machined with 3M's Fine compound and became like new again, its been 9 months now and still the same. I just give them a coat of either sealer or Carnuba wax and they stay crystal clear. Tony

smudgedon
Tried the megs metal polish today but didn't do much. The passenger side light has like a bubbly, dried glue like touch to it... Fine DA polisher job I think
4RE Leather
That has a substance stuck on it Jordan. Highly possible that some one took it over the water and dipped the main beam with stickers. Then on return to Uk did a lousy job of removing them leaving the sticky back on which is no doubt ingrained with road kill
smudgedon
I wouldn't be surprised if it does have something on them Pete Was going through all the paperwork the other day and finally found out that the bumpers, wingmirrors and skirts have all had the protective clear 3m vinyl stuff put on which explains a lot
