I told her if she didn't buck her ideas up I wouldn't build her another Zed ;)

Hhhhhhhmmmmmm, really!!!!!!!!!

Next time I will use the 1" socket drive to beat you with, or maybe a frying pan as apparently my chain isn't long enough to leave the kitchen

Been manic here lately

Got to change a gearbox on a Zed at the weekend, a meet on Wednesday evening, but thought I'd better get the Mini moved on a bit as well 21 Weekends to go :scare:

So thought I'd have a go at the roll cage tonight as the ZedShed is empty

Started with something easy

ends rounded

Then cleaning the paint of this :scare:

Took some time and my hands gone numb but

Some bits to neaten up as although it's a proper saftey cage it will be on show in a road car so ....

Bit of welding and grinding we get

More of the same soon

Maybe a road trip tomorrow night as I won an eBay auction :ninja:

Stay tuned for the next exciting episode ......................

What's the legal requirement over there for caged cars in terms of padding on the caged areas that can come into contact with the body, ie roof and sides?

Mone that I'm aware of - It will be padded though

@Keyser, I hope it wasn't the compressor i was bidding on :teeth:

Don't care I won :p

Evening all, Well after all the comments about Bob's knob and my Mrs Keyser going topless, me and the wife were hard at it today  (after a quick stealth mission for another member :ninja: )

Mrs Keyser started on the sub frames while I carried on with the roll cage

Pile of bits ready for primer gets bigger

When they were all done we hung them from the rafters so to speak

Looking good. How do you stop the whole garage getting covered in overspray. Only reason I ask is we already have a small compressor we use for work and fancy buying a spray gun for refurbing some of the E type bits.

The truth is it does and is covered

But I cover important stuff behind the wheels is a huge sheet of cardboard, I also use tarps hung from the ceiling to protect anything behind when I spray colour but it does get around. Cleans of easily though if it's just the the overspray dust as its nearly dry when it lands.
