Ewan27
Hi Guys, just wanted to share some pictures of my alloys after they'd been powdercoated, £200 for all 4 which I thought was very reasonable. https://plus.google.com/113813799645272 ... kwckEisfe7 Any advice on my centre caps? They are in a bad state (like the alloys were), but being plastic the guy couldn't powdercoat them! Can I get some plastic primer than spray paint them black? About 90 miles from Glasgow

rtbiscuit
yes you could spray them, but on such expensive wheels i'd want to maintain the original wheel centres otherwise whats to distinguish them from something like rota's. if it were me i'd be looking to buy a new set of centres. or possibly paint them and i can cut you a new logo to go on them once painted. Thanks for your feedback. Do you have any good sources for new centres? What would I need to remove the marks before I paint them? Sorry to be a noob, but what do you mean by cut a new logo? Would these look any good do you think? http://goo.gl/rQ4bZ These looks like the expensive option! - http://www.part-box.com/product_info.ph ... s_id=17076 Or these looks good - http://www.vividracing.co.uk/volk_gt_hi ... 486145.php

Roughly how much would you charge for this? (PM if necessary) These looks like the expensive option! - http://www.part-box.com/product_info.ph ... s_id=17076 Possible Do you know if these are the correct fitting for my wheels? Many thanks again!
rtbiscuit
from the look of the design of your wheel centres they don;t look like they can be wrapped. the logo is raised, and the carbon indented. they look like they would be a pig to refurb. Ah OK, fair enough. From what I've been reading up on, they don't appear to have a standard fitting either! I'll just try and sanding them down and painting the outside black to see how that looks. Cheers for all your input. Sorry to repeat my question, but do you know if these will fit if I end up buying new ones? http://www.part-box.com/product_info.ph ... s_id=17076 It does say TE37(19 Inch), or is there anything else I need to look out for? Cheers

Ian
http://www.vividracing.co.uk/volk_gt_hi ... 486145.php These ones definitely fit All RAYS centres are expensive though, I paid £80 just for the plain flat ones

Ian
I got my flat ones from RHD Japan The ones in the link above were limited to 100 caps, I did have a set of them (took me 6 months to get them) but I sold them with my wheels
Ewan27
Ah well, I'll keep my eye out on ebay for a set of these! I have spoken to a guy at http://www.part-box.com and he can do a set of plain ones in gunmetal for £60 delivered. Gunmetal might be best to match the door handles, what do you think? He is sending me pictures over so I post when I receive them. The other option is to get plain ones in white, then spray them yellow with the Ultra Paint. Thoughts? Ewan27
Hi guys, do you think these "gun metal" caps would match the door handle or are they too dark? https://plus.google.com/photos/11381379 ... 3025978577
BulletMagnet
I still don't know why the centre caps should match the door handles, it's not really something I would consider important. Wheels help the overall look of the car, but should retain their own identity
Ewan27
Fair enough, you're not the first too make that point, so I'm going to drop it now I am going to try to refurb and paint my current caps tonight, if that fails I think I'll get some white caps and spray them with Ultra Yellow paint.
