Dal123
I've had my 350z for about six years and just had a big service done; discs, diff oil, spark plugs, pads, filters, belts for a/c and power steering etc. Mechanic was very good and pleased with him. My exhaust needs a new mid-section and back-box. I explained I'm happy with the car and had it from new and am going to keep it until it dies. So the best option is to replace the whole exhaust with a stainless steel exhaust. He recommended flowmaster, as the internal diameter is universal. I want a good one, would like a bit of a performance boost, but I don't want it sounding ridiculously loud. This flowmaster is nice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftkIAz4JX38. I don't want to be disrespectful to my neighbours, but I very rarely use the car, and not un-social hours really so not too worried about that. So basically, does anyone know where I can get a full stainless exhaust flowmaster system? My research so far only manages to find flowmaster mufflers etc but not a full stainless system. Anyone know what to do? My budget is about £1,000.00 as I need to have it fitted, and get it re-mapped and might get steel brake lines put on. DannyBoy
With a budget of £1k, I'd be looking at a Milltek cat-back sytem personally: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_169_293_472_480&products_id=25055 Proven quality, fit and perfomance gains (with remap obv.) with a nice refined noise. MITZ@CougarStore
It's not one we've seen on the 350z before, lots of other choices are available and also within your budget too, have a look on our website - http://www.cougarstore.co.uk The Milltek we offer would fit the bill - http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main ... ducts_id=

Plus cs will get it to you in no time at all.
Dal123
Thanks for the recommendations guys. What do you guys think about Mongoose? I've just found this and attracted to the lifetime guarantee http://www.camskill.co.uk/m15b678s6559p3996/_MONGOOSE_EXHAUST_SYSTEMS_-_CAT_BACK_SYSTEM_-_350Z_COUPE_03-08/RS_GB/92753, http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/uprated/mongoose-exhausts-systems/nissan/350z.html. I would prefer an exhaust that does not have a loss in internal diameter; if anyone is familiar with any brands would like to know about them. Thank you for your input. RisingPower
If you're after slightly marginal more power, drop the cats for hfcs. Even then, that's what 5-10hp? I think the fujitsubo systems are quiet and good quality, i'm sure tarmac can offer some other options too. I really don't think it's worth worrying about perf gains from an exhaust, the only thing I noticed with hfcs was how much heavier the stock cats are. Choosing your exhaust purely for performance is a bit pointless because (assuming we're only talking about good quality ones) the difference between the best and worst is going to be like 5bhp at most. That's of course after a remap, as without one nothing you do to a zed will make any difference as the ECU will just dial it out. Go with something well made and with a sound that you like DB
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Plenty I can offer, Mongoose not being one, lifetime warranty will cover the internals, rust through holes (not surface) but not much more, flexis maybe 1-2 years. If you want performance then a single exit is worth thinking about, if it's an improvement on stock sound and performance but nothing too much then give me a shout
