Daryl
Iv started to notice that my car shakes/judders while braking. Im going to take the wheels off and have a good poke around, but it feels suspiciously like the discs are warped. Other than taking the discs off and checking them on a surface table,is there any other way of checking the discs? They are DBA discs, though cant remember what ones. Ekona
You probably wouldn't see a warped disc by the naked eye unless it's horrendously bad. Could well be pad material transfer causing it, go and do the usual bedding in procedure to see if that cures it.
ZMANALEX
I doubt if you have warped a DBA rotor. Check the colour markings on the rotor for over temperature, however as Dan has said, give them a really good bed in as it will probably just be pad transfer. Have you removed and inspected the pads? Run out on the rotors / hubs can be checked insitu using a gauge. And don't forget about DTV. Alex

Daryl
Had a look at his site this morning, will take the car out abit later, and bed the brakes back in,and see if that cures the issue. Failing that,il look at getting them skimmed. Though dont want to spent money where its not needed, not with the impending clutch change. spursmaddave
Daryl, I have/had exactly the same thing with DBAs and Ferrodo pads, I did a bit of 'bedding in' the other morning and much better, probably need to do another couple to sort it completely out though
Daryl
Must admit, its seems to have been happening with me driving the car less. Il take it out later and give it some hardcore retardation.

Mine happened in Wales, I think I held the car on the brakes after a bit of spirited driving
