350Chris
I had planned to detail the car this weekend and update my rolling thread - however possibly a slight fly in the ointment. I ordered Lime Prime Lite and have been sent the non-lite stuff. The DJ site suggests avoid soft paint (like on jap cars) - but to save me putting it off another weekend, is it really a risk to use this stuff on the 350? Plan was wash, clay, lime prime, polish and wax All would be done by hand as opposed to machine
Ekona
It'll be fine. I used it on the Zed as a pre-cleaner by hand and had no issues at all.
tez162003
yes you will be fine. It has some very mild abrasives in compared to the lite stuff. I have to ask though, what do you class as a polish?
350Chris
Polish wise, I was either going to use meguires gold class or Autoglym super resin
tez162003
it is was me, i would skip the SRP, it has loads of fillers in, that's all. in which case you may as well not use your LP. The lime prime preps the paint ready for a wax, so if you pile on SRP it defeats the object of a pre wax cleanser in my opinion. After I machine polish a car (hence I asked what you meant by polish) i'd either use a pre wax cleanser or alcohol wipes to get rid of any silicons or other chemicals. Stew
Lime Prime has mild abrasives so can be used as polish. You can just wax over it.
