zDan
Just pitching in to add another recommendation for the guys at Marshalls Nissan in Bury St. Edmunds - had the car serviced there last week, P2 service and MOT with own-supplied oil and spark plugs. Very happy with the service, the chaps there were very helpful and quite Zed-friendly so to say, they fixed and double-checked everything I asked for. Same as mentioned earlier in the thread, I also got a "forum discount" and the new Nissan Roadside assistance - which was a welcome a bonus too. Excellent value on the whole, don't think I could ask for more to be honest.

MattG
Booked my car in with WGT Auto Developments ( http://www.wgtautodevelopments.co.uk/ ) last week for the following: 1. Engine Oil Change 2. Gearbox Oil Change 3. Diff Oil Change 4. Brake Fluid Change 5. Brake Pad Change 6. Skim brake discs with Pro Cut On Car Brake Lathe 7. Re-balance all 4 wheels All parts and fluids were provided by me. I have to say they did all of the jobs quickly and efficiently and I was very impressed with the service. Finally after 3 years of ownership I've found a garage that can properly look after my Z! If anyone else in the North West is looking for a decent performance specialist I would highly recommend WGT. The only downside with them is that their labour rate is quite high for a Northern garage (£60 p/h + VAT), but given the "fun" I have had with cheaper garages I would say you get what you pay for! 4RE Leather
Well certainly not a main dealer. I don't mind paying so long as I get the service. But now I am putting all my eggs in one basket and letting Abbey look after the car. Because I don't trust any one else:) Plus they have a toilet that is always empty waiting for me and endless cups of coffee:) One a serious side, I think it is only natural to want the best especially when money is as tight as it is. I think a lot of dealerships will be going to the wind this year. Wonder if my S/C will like LPG or will it spit it out like cheap wine? Renegade
Good service again from Harratts Sheffield P3 £260 with no air filter change, and free RAC roadside assistance for a year. Downside is new discs and pads recommended rear drop links and OSF front banana bush, so I guess I will replace them both.
KyleR
Just had my P3 done yesterday also, but at Shelbourne Motors Nissan, cost me £190 all in and that included them looking at a few specific things that I noted for them. Downside, like Renegade, is the things they noticed that I need to fix. New Back box, front N/S wishbone/bushes, rear struts and O/S headlight ballast. All in that'd cost about £1k, but hopefully i'll be able to source the parts myself and sort it out.
yellowspeedster
Just to addmy two peneth -: (as only just found this section) Lightcliffe- Halifax - Bad Back end of last year took my 370 to Lightcliffe-Halifax and they didnt get all the parts in but still started the job, they said it would take max 2hrs and 3hrs later they came and told me that it was done but they did not have the filters so would I like to come back another day to have them fitted, needless to say they got a mouthful and I have never been back. (was listed on my invoice as 350, so geussing they got wong parts) Also while I was waiting I tried to talk to the GTR sales man and he kept walking off and doing his best to ignore me, there loss as I am just about to buy a GTR. Middlehurst Nissan - Good The 370 had a fault on passenger door and would not open from inside so I decided to go to Middlehurst as they were going to be my next service stop. I cant praise them enough as nothing has been to much trouble and all staff there that I have dealt with have been Very helpfull and was all sorted under warranty. Nolly227
Nissan Warwick. There F****** useless. Wouldn't budge with helping me over the phone even though I had been there already a couple of times and when I took my car for a second diagnostic, they hadn't the fugiest what was causing my ABS problem without charging me ££££ to strip it all down to then 'find the problem'. Currently searching for an alternative garage
SwanageDave
Westover Nissan in Poole, not too bad if you can put up with the salesman telling you to use a marker pen to touch up stone chips, and trying to fob you off that your car has been supa guarded when its not been. Currently searching for an alternative garage Are you sure it's an ABS problem? Is your slip light coming on, cutting power for a second?? If so, it might actually be your tyres mismatched, or incorrect size.
Adrian@TORQEN
EML ON with P1283 error code. Called Glyn Hopkin in Watford, told them about the error code, they still wanted to diagnose with their "special diagnosis hardware" at £107.00. Booked the car in and asked for a quote to change the front lambda sensors: - £107 diagnosis - £352 for 2 front lambda sensors - 4 hours labour x £106 = £424 --------------- total cost - £883.00!!!!!!!!!! Will never use them again! Local garage quoted me 30 min labour cost at £50/hour, both ZMANALEX and Mark @ Abbey advised 30-60 minutes labour! Wasso
4 hours WTF were they doing!!! I'd seriously complain, either to GH or Nissan GB. I had to report a dealership for negligence. Let's just say they stood down and couldn't help enough thereafter.
Renegade
Autotec Sheffield Highly recommended. Autotec. Unit 6 Oregreave Drive Sheffield. 01143275159 or 07791806687 Rich fitted new discs and pads all round, new rear drop links and ARB bushes. New banana arm bushes. Nothing was too much trouble, he had to cut the nuts off the banana arms to get them off. Every bolt that came out, went back greased. He greased the handrake parts before the new rear discs went on. All in all an excellent first class job. There may be a admin on here recommends him too.
bmg
alex f noble and sons edinburgh zmanalex recommend them and i bought all my stuff from him. went to nobles and sons today for a service, plus changing all oils and belts. few hours labour , theres an ikea just up the road, so had to get the meatballs on the go.. went back to garage , car done, washed and hoovered, couldnt beleive it.....thats what i call service, its a 100 mile round trip but am more than happy to go there, if the level of service is that high.. david and darren , really know there stuff and i think his name is chris as well. am takin my car back for the clicky axle thing , as i have a full nissawarranty and its part of the drive train.. warranty states in black and white that its covered and i love a good argument with the like of a warranty claim any way. Let's just say they stood down and couldn't help enough thereafter. Rickmansworth very seldom come down on the side on the customer. When l had issues with Crystals in Grantham supplying me with a motability vehicle that had 2 bald tyres as in one had wire sticking out the side, and broken wipper blades. Then sent me home in a thunderstorm I had to camp outside GB HQ to get any notice. And the dum girl who was dealing with my complaints said it was a dealer customer issue and could not get involved. Motorbility said something because I was certainly compensated, but what a fight to get it. trouble is we seem to be a nation of backfooters and dont like confrontation. Sorry Wasso l nicked ya post mate:)
bmg
parks east kilbride got booked in for an engine fault code quickly and took the car there a few days later. waited about for about 3 hours went for a stout around the shops while i waited. car needed an o2 sensor , didnt take anything off me for diagosing the issue and dealt with the warranty claim which got approved. so will take themcar back there next week for the sensor. so far couldnt complain although i dont like the yts crew washing the car, dont mind them hoovering it but. will give another review after the sensors fitted. nobles in edinburgh took the car back here for the, clicky axle thing, this is still on going. i will generally go to nobles for everything i need for my car, there service is great and have lots of gtr to sit and look at while you wait. plus the know there stuff
Spidermonk
Harratts Nissan, Sheffield Just got my Z back with the following work done: P2 service Spark plug replaced (Iridium Plugs supplied by Zmanalex) Diff oil replaced (Supplied by Zmanalex) Gear box oil & molyslip (Supplied by Zmanalex) Both drive belts replaced Anti roll bar link replaced Wiper blade replacement / hand brake adjustment and other small bits and pieces. Tracking Free 1 years comprehensive RAC breakdown cover oh.. and an insured courtersy car for 4 days (should have been 1 day but due to anti roll bar link failing the MOT and it being the weekend, it took a couple of days to get in and retest). £800 for all the above, which I'm very happy with considering it's a main dealer (and especially compared to Octets price above) and I had the use of a courtesy car over the weekend. I found Pat, the lady on the service desk incredibly helpful, polite and professional, keeping me updated and ensuring everything went smoothly. Also she advised me my lower compression arm bushes are going, they can only order in the whole arms at £350 - £400 per side, yet are happy to fit the bushes that Alex can supply at a fraction of the cost, they even supplied me a diagram to send to Zamalex for easier identification of the parts. All in all very happy with the experience (both from Harratts and Zmanalex ) and will certainly use them again.
