chettle
Why must you post this!!!! what power would a T4 hit? and what are they like on lag?
rabster
Ooh what else would I need to fit this on my gt4....
DannyBoy
Not sure why people are getting excited about this one, am I missing something? It's a single turbo kit of unspecified unbranded origin that looks like it was birthed in the depths of some guy's shed with no pics of it actually attached to a 350z and no engine management. what power would a T4 hit? and what are they like on lag? You wouldn't want to exceed 400/400 on a stock block anyway, and so far even well designed and made single turbo kits all suffer from substantial lag until about 3k/3.5k. Ooh what else would I need to fit this on my gt4.... A massive pair of balls and a second mortgage for when it lunches your engine. Ricey
Danny.......effing epic! It's because everyone gets a Hardon for a 'bargain' which sounds like its going to bolt 150bhp to you car for 500 squid. It does look very 'the turbo that jack built'
chettle
I understand its not a bolt on, injectors, management possibly a fuel pump and a thicker HG would be needed straight away amongst other things! But if its used properly, then there is no reason as to why it wouldn't do the job!
Wasso
I'm with DannyBoy on this one. A bargain.... Smelling some stinky rats even via the intertwined web
Ian
Looks like a quality kit & the seller certainly appears to know what hes talking about
docwra
How can you have a turbo kit without a manifold?
Ekona
Looks like it comes straight off the existing manifolds. That's not something I'd ever want to put on my car.
rabbitstew
How can you have a turbo kit without a manifold? I was wondering that too, normally you`d get a new manifold and the turbo connects to it, else if this one is connecting to the exhaust system further down then there would be a hell of a lag. Also, surely you`d need to lower the compression ratio on the engine if you were going to turbo it? Or isnt that needed on the zed?

ddcboyle
How much is a normal turbo kit, 7k with fitting?
Ian
How much is a normal turbo kit, 7k with fitting? I'd say £10K minimum to go FI. From memory when I was looking to do the GTM TT kit, it would have cost me around £8K in parts - but that include fueling, gauges & a few other bits. It can be done cheaper if you don't mind buying second hand (or cheaper branded) parts & depending on how much you can do yourself.

Since that quote the £ dropped against the $ so unless its come back up you can add another £800 at least for the GTM supply and fit with all the bits and bobs.! Ian
You really need to learn how to quote properly That may be true for a HR but you can still get the DE kit direct from GTM for <£4K + whatever shipping & customs costs
4RE Leather
Now't wrong with my quotes. Do you want a leather quote! I was unaware that GTM did one for pre HR's but then I never really looked. I just saw the one's for mine and suddenly caught that illness that originated from Dorking "Zeditis"
ddcboyle
Hmmm, maybe need to save lol. I would look into getting refurbished one but even still i know nothing about an engine to even start doing it myself
chettle
More power = more fuel.... More fuel = more heat more heat = bad! Keep the fueling good and the heat down.... and ull be fine!
4RE Leather
I must admit to having some luck with mine. No matter what the temp is outside the car or how far I drive. The temp never goes above a third on the gauge whatever that is! Yet others say there car runs hot!
HaydnH
I must admit to having some luck with mine. Did you add a larger sump and oil cooler?
4RE Leather
No to the sump. There is an oil cooler but I thought that was for the Super Charger oil. That goes to show how much notice I take! Abbey did the build so I should by rights ask them:)
ddcboyle
Going to have a quick guess and say fitting a turbo and all its accessories is pretty nails unless you know what your doing?
