adymi16
Hi I dont like the look of aftermarket stereos nor do I play any CD's I just use the radio in the car. However i would appreciate a better sound quality. Can I fit the bose head unit from a 2004 gt car, speakers, sub and amp to a 2006 not gt facelift car easily? any help would be appreciated. spursmaddave
It would be a complete waste of time and effort and money to fit a Zed Bose system to a non Bose Zed imo
rayhoop
I agree with Dave. If I was you I would try to find an aftermarket head unit that you do like (new or used) and install it along a simple speaker upgrade.

It's totally garbage. Got the whole lot in my garage. Removed after 3 month on my Z when new. Could get rid of it fast enough. Turn it up and it sounds like a duck farting under water. If you only listen to the radio, why bother anyway.

My Zed is completely 'Bose'less... well some of it is still in place but not in use

You could. Im sure it would be like wiring up any aftermarket fit unless the wires are already there for the bose. You most expensive part might be the headunit as it needs to be married and divorced to the car Im sure. Why not go for a becker head unit. They are the most OEM looking things in the world. rtbiscuit
Zed bose is actually rebranded clarion. there are some nice double dins out there, and they don't need to be full screen dvd style ones, quiet a range out there. kind of plain looking http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alpine-CDE-W2 ... 20c8c1ce63 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PIONEER-FH-P8 ... 231a4aa7d4 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KENWOOD-DPX50 ... 2c6707138f http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JVC-KW-R500-D ... 256ff9cb61
un1eash
As said before waste of time and money as the bose isnt great, if on a budget i'd buy a 4 channel amp and run some upgraded fronts and a small subwoofer of this using high level inputs from the stock headunit. BulletMagnet
Or just rip all the stereo gear out for weight saving and enjoy the V6 soundtrack
