Zedrush
Okay maybe have got this in wrong posting section again but my apologies. Thanks to Sl114, beavis and Lomoto i have been on a mission.Sorting out my nismo exhaust, getting info and ordering a Kinetix plenum, looking into vortech supercharge unit, perhaps changing my wheels again, and now tricking out my car with a fully operational mac mini with itunes. Went on web and saw this 350z got there first: http://www.macvroom.com/node/56 Looks awesome

Zedrush
That looks the business. How much? can all be done within £450, you have touchscreen lcd(lilliput or xenarc), mini mac with airport and bluetooth about 1.4hz 60gigs, p1900 converter ac dc (http://linitx.com/product_info.php?products_id=728) and you are pretty much ready to go. Also bought (Griffin Powermate USB Controller) for volume increase and another amp) You can listen to itunes or cds, radio, dvd's view photos watch mpeg clips, go on to the internet, play games, design photoshop (usual stuff you do on macs generally) have sat nav, work as a hands free kit for phone, reversing camera the works. Was gonna buy an alpine head unit but thi is far better and can chennel through my bose speakers and 15" sub. So much better
steve_b
How do you feed into the Bose unit, or am I missing something. Did not think it had an input, therefore are you going to different audio setup. Also really interested if you can run it all with a PowerPC setup and still have GPS. steve_b
I have a mini mac sitting here waiting to do this, has bluetooth keyboard, even Digi-TV tuner and remote so I could watch TV as well.
Zedrush
No not me, I couldnt put together an led light I have two friends who are going to do this, one works as an audio fitter and the other is a fibre glass specialist and electrical specialist. As for channelling sound through the speakers, i bought a Griffin PowerMate controls to adjust the volume and a 4 channel amp so that the mac audio can now be fed directly into the amp which will drive all the speakers
Pingu2
sounds nice the race is on!.. (even though I have all the parts ready - execpt the 2003 nav cubby which I am ordering on tuesday) I still reckon it will take me about 6 months to get it sorted!) I have replaced the stock headunit with one with audio input and will be plugging the pc sound into that and from there it goes via the original bose setup.. thinking I will take it to a pro to get the wiring sorted - assuming they don't want an arm and a leg.. (oh and I have nismo exhaust and kinetix plenum and hi-flow cats ordered now too - great minds think alike, Zedrush!)

Zedrush
Kinetix plenum I should have by tomo, I have just recently got HKS racing suction induction kit, nismo exhaust I have spoken to guy in America (by the way I owe you a lot Beavis cheers for all the advice ) will be getting nearer summer, same as wheels refurbish a they desperatly need it unless I end up selling them and getting something else. Ill get there in the end, the biggest mod will be next year when I get the supercharger done and fitted for 4800, unless I got that wrong. They say about up to 380BHP,

Zedrush
Hmm thought it was a vortech saw this: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/143410.htm and called up the people where he got from for £4800 they kept going on about the Vortech so assumed it was the one that needed new bonnet. Id much prefer leaving my bonnet standard though. Which one is best Vortech or Stillen?

Id much prefer leaving my bonnet standard though. Which one is best Vortech or Stillen? The car shown has a Stillen Roots-style S/C installed - hence the bonnet bulge. The Vortech does not require a bonnet modification, is a centrifugal type which mounts at the front-left in the engine bay. You can see a pic. of mine on the Kinetix V+ plenum fitted today thread recently. The Vortech will give you 400BHp on a stock map out of the box
