rtbiscuit
This was my first Jag meet, and to be fair it wasn't really an exclusive XK only event. and this is why i thought i would share with you guys some of the stuff that turned up. instead of filling a page full of IMG links i thought it would be easier if i did them as a slide show/movie so there isn;t so much to scroll through. If you enjoyed the pics then this video is a compilation of all the footage i shot on the day, most of which is the cars going up the runway. the runway is 2.5 miles long and when i left the fastest car down there had done 197mph but there was a couple of runs left but i went home before they finished so not sure if they hit the magic 200 mph. i'll leave you to guess which was the quickest car. and as a final video piece for all you petrol heads i thought you all might enjoy this little bit of audio porn it was a reall mix of a day, and some cracking cars there. really enjoyed myself and all the guys were really friendly all the drivers were very welcome for you to come and have a look. and i must admit there was a lot of cash there vehicle wise. i think all the GT40's were original. i'll tell you what the yellow car is later, but its an origianl le mans car. KyleR
There are a few 200mph+ cars there, but I'm gonna guess the XJ220 whooped the rest What a piece of machinery. I was lucky enough to see one a number of years back when I was about 9 or 10 That guy in the GT40 in the last vid has just used 2.4G of fuel doing that little blurt, but it's truly gorgeous, as all those cars are, except the funny green colour XJ on the Speed Trial

rtbiscuit
most of the GT40's were around the 180 mark, the XJ220 was at 197 mph but he had got a to a point where he was taping the joins removing wipers etc to eek out as much as possible. the mclaren le mans car even changed gearbox to put long gears in to try and beat it. must admit at idol the XJ220 sounds very agricultural. what was great was the cheif designer of the XJ13 was there and he was helping the owner of the XJ220 make it more streamline. the bloke had come to see the cars but ended up sitting on the floor with the owner cutting up a folder to reduce drag on the grille for those unfamiliar of the XJ13 this is it. the designer was a really nice bloke was good to have a chat with him. KyleR
I want an XJ13, shame I don't have a 7 figure salary to afford one.
rtbiscuit
I want an XJ13, shame I don't have a 7 figure salary to afford one. its gorgeous, apparently there is only one and its in the heritage museum at the moment up in cov, it was crashed back in the 60's and then rebuilt in the 70's, but it never raced, as the gt40's came out and jaguar realised the XJ13 required a massive amount of work to make it competitive against ford. HaydnH
I'd love a XKSS as well as an XJ13.
