akewt
Funds ready and I'm ready to buy! Wanted one of these two but they both are gone. Frustrating that the Ad is still up. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4066852.htm http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4006108.htm Is it best to stick with PistonHeads? Or do people use ebay and autotrader etc. I want to wait for the right one nearly exactly like above. Can't wait!! ROADTRIP!

Ebized
Also look on here Good advice and remember, the reason why we require a minimum of 100 posts when someone wants to sell their ZED on here is so that buyers can get a better appreciation of car and at least some if not all of its history
rabbitstew
I find the cars on piston heads very often tend to be overpriced or at least priced at top money. Most of the cars on autotrader are traders cars or dealerships - they charge so much now to advertise on there that most private individuals tend to avoid it. Ebay is the place most people I know look at. Outside of that, the forsale section on here is a good place.
akewt
Thanks! Didn't know there was a for sale section! I'll have a look.

akewt
@Jay, how do you mean? I'm gonna go for a base model with one owner as I'm looking for resale value. Probably upgrade the ICE but nothing else. He says...... Looking on AutoTrader: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p Are there any users on here living in Surrey/Guildford? I would be very grateful if somebody came with me to on second viewing before I seal the deal. So pumped in the pants....

The first one of those two is not a 313 as advertised So if that is what you are after (and I would suggest you would do better looking for a HR 313 engined facelift) then you forget that one

akewt
Very true. It doesn't have the tell tale bulge. Anyone heard of this trader? http://www.autoservecarsales.co.uk/Products.aspx That's kinda of what i'm looking for. Quite like the spoiler too. akewt
I'm going to go see that one and give it a whee test drive. Two previous owners which I'm not too keen on but I suppose it's difficult to find only one owner from new these days? Also, he wasn't sure about the spoiler. From the looks of it, it's a Nismo V1? Correct, it's a Nismo V1. Don't worry too much about being only 2 owners, one of those is probably a dealership.

Ricey
You looking for a specific model or spec as you seem to be looking at all sorts and mixture of pre/post facelift and prices. Lomotos old car looks very nice and lots of forum history.
akewt
I was initially just sticking to Gun Metal Grey, 07 313bhp with 60k odd miles and one owner. But I'm opening my horizons as I'm seeing a couple of really nice black and silver ones. Definitely a face lift and quite a new model 06 being the earliest really. 60k miles is the max I would go and the less owners the better preferably 1 owner from new. But when you I look at examples like that one with some nice extra bits and you say it is well known on here it becomes very appealing. Spacers and lowering isn't something I would have initially done but looking at the ones that have, I'm in. It's nice to keep it on here too and I want to look after it. Cheers! rabbitstew
From my experience I would definately go for the 313 model if you can afford it. The extra improvements they made for those models is well worth it.
akewt
Hi Guys Think this could be the one for me: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4111777.htm Can anyone give me an idea of what it's actually worth. I put it through whatcar evaluation and it comes up with 10k O_o. I think it's worth more than that but maybe not 12.5k. I'm not here to rip anyone off just get the right inof when going in. Thanks for any help guys. [i'm starting to get very excited. It's funny, found out a guy owns one at work when I saw two Falken 452 tires next to his desk! Awesome.]
akewt
Went to see the Midnight Blue one last night and was pretty disappointed to be fair. Bodywork wise had a massive scuff on the bumper with strike through on the panels edge above and around 3 small dents to the doors. Front potenzas had little to no tread on them and quite heavy wear on the inside edge. Alignment problem? Also the interior grab handle on the drivers door was scratched to buggery and the cubby button had scratches too. This is the first viewing I'd done and was ready to take it away. Are these things pretty normal for a car that old? Would've expected more and I don't think it was worth 12.5k! Bit sad.... Up side is though I definitely want a midnight blue one! Or maybe and Azure.....

I put it through whatcar evaluation and it comes up with 10k O_o. I think it's worth more than that but maybe not 12.5k. My 2007 roadster which was also mint, the same spec as this one and also had the optional Sat Nav is up for about £10500 at a dealer. Looking on autotrader, you can pick up similar 313 Coupe`s for £9500, so the What Car evalution is about right. Went to see the Midnight Blue one last night and was pretty disappointed to be fair. Bodywork wise had a massive scuff on the bumper with strike through on the panels edge above and around 3 small dents to the doors. Or maybe and Azure..... The things you mention are pretty normal from what ive seen. The front tyres do seem to wear more on the inside due to the camber angle, and can cause the car to tramline all over the shop until you replace them. The grab handle on the drivers door is nearly always chipped and scratched. It seems the coating on it is very thin and people seem to open the door whilst clutching their keys. Sounds like that car however was very over priced when you factor in new tyres and fixing the bits you mention. Midnight blue is a colour people either love or hate and I think as a result, not many of them were sold, so you may have a bit of a search on your hands if you want one!
