drginger
So basically i have a japspeed y-pipe and k2 exhaust and pop charger( pop charger mainly for sound) I am going to buy a plenum spacer at some point as well. I have decided though that i dont want to go down the route of decats/high flow cats. ...So my question is, is it worth spending 300 notes on a remap or will it be pointless without getting rid of my cats??? Cheers, Ian.
Cragus
High flow cats will make a difference and defo a plenum spacer! Get all your mods done before paying for your dyno time
Neilp
theres a chance you will run the car lean with they mods and it could damage the engine without a remap
The Bounty Bar Kid
Also remap frees up some ponies and some torque, but overall the driving experience is greatly improved as it becomes more enjoyable.
SteveW
My car was running super lean before the remap due to the mods which were similar to what you are suggesting. The remap is well worth the cash makes the car so much more fun to drive due to all the extra mid range torque
