Dragonball
Just noticed that the water pipe leading off the back of the intake is missing - please see pic Everything fine with the car but just checking where this should lead to Any help gratefully received Cheers
BulletMagnet
Well according to the pic it should lead "To Water Outlet"

Dblock
Is that the one that goes to the throttle body? The picture is tiny.
Toon Chris
Now I will have wild guess here but a water hose leading to a throttle body usually forms part of a system to warm the throttle and prevent icing. This is fine but warming the throttle is not conducive to maximum power. Its possible that the previous owner has removed the pipe to gain that extra 1hp. Unless the weather goes completely arctic it won't cause any harm. Its a 100% guess based on engines in general rather than the Z
Dragonball
Sounds about right... but I will put it back on asap anyway - with this summer anything could happen! :-) Cheers
Wasso
I would have thought if it was missing you'd be spewing coolant, so clearly removed and the other end has been connected elsewhere????? I'm very good friends with that pipe as I've taken my plenum off a number of times and must remove the pipe to allow the plenum to be removed. For the life of me I can't picture where it is joined to. Get it to a mechanic to see what has been done?
M13KYF
isnt this a US only thing and not used in the UK
Wasso
It's used because you need to remove it so the plenum can be removed. In taking the hose off the plenum you get a slight drip of coolant.
