philw99
Can someone confirm my calculations are correct? Got new wheels ordered Rota GTR in Gunmetal 18x9.5" 5x114mm ET30 now need some tyres, i'm thinking 255 on the rear and 245 on the front? this sound ok/good idea? Calculation: or should i go 45 all round?? Many Thanks Phil
Gudzy
Personally I'd be looking for staggered width wheels and going for 245/40 front and 275/40 rear. Captain has sold some 18" wheels recently which had 245/40 and 275/35 tyres on, you could ask him what he thought about going for a lower profile on the back. brillomaster
i reckon 255 40 18 on the front, and 275 40 18 at the rear - differs to the original sizes by +0.34% and 0.00% respectively...
Ekona
You want to keep the 20mm stagger F to R if at all possible, else you'll end up inducing either understeer or oversteer (in your example).
philw99
Wheels have arrived Still investigating tyres.. been told to look at bigger than 255 at the rear. anyone got any comments on this? philw99
245 40 18 front 255 40 18 rear. Wanted 265 on the back but the price put me off. Might get them next time.

Lexx
Your TCS may get twitchy times with those sizes.

Neilp
Should be 245 and 275 , 245 is quite stretched on a 9.5j rim
MITZ@CougarStore
When you bought the wheels didn't they suggest the right tyres...
