Removed
to use Amsoil SAE30 Oil on my new air compressor? seriously though, isn't SAE30 the oil to use on petrol lawnmowers and the like? Up to now I've only found the Amsoil one, and minimum 5L! any suggestions?

Winged Rodent
As you've said, an SAE30 mono-grade oil is the same spec as required by most air-cooled petrol lawnmowers. Try somewhere that sells/services lawnmowers (e.g. Gardencentre) as they will have cheaper (but probably lower quality) SAE30 oil and in 1 or 2 litre sizes. I use Witham oil (www.withamgroup.co.uk) from the local gardencentre in my 4-stroke mower.
amsoil
Drop me a line as I know there is 1 x USG of this oil in the SAE 30 in the warehouse that is looking for a home at 1/2 price (don't know why it came to us as we only import 5L
