Chris`I
Might have been your router that doesnt support it Jez, but we'll certainly look into disabling it this end.
Chesterfield
Its pretty quick and easy to do on a windows box, slightly more complicated on a unix box, but there are also possible negative performance issues that could arrise from disabling tcp timestamps on the server, so we would need a bit more time to investigate the effects of this on the applications running on the server. If its not affecting many people, then a client side solution may be prefferable at this point.

I don't think it was as my Macbook works fine using the same wifi connection at home - just seemed to affect my Windows laptop

I assume they do. Once again its likely to be Windows not doing it right
Jez @ H-Dev
Agreed - not sure why my laptop had the extensions enabled - my work PC doesn't have the registry entry at all and works fine. It only seemed to be the combination of my laptop and this web site - other web forums were fine. Anyway - I've got a fix and if anyone else has a similar problem then hopefully this will help them Edited October 17, 2012 by Jez
AK350Z
I asked the team about these issues I was having a few weeks ago, as it was only slow on this site. I've now changed that registry key, and it does seem to have speeded things up. I'll give it a few days to make sure, but hopefully Jez has sorted me out! At least I'll know where to go for my Uprev when I get around to it
