iMystic
Jez reckoned his 2nd Zed had figures higher than stock figures though? I'm just trying to get my head round whether most Zeds are like mine, or if i'm in the minority of cars that don't produce a great figure from stock! For reference, my graph is attached now too! Neilp
Every engine is different unfortunately. This could be down to his history, how it's running, how it's been broke in at the start etc. my revup car ran 292 on its first dyno run but only gained 15 or something when mapped where as yours may gain 30. It's too hard to call. Best bet is to get it on a zed specialists dyno and let them see how the engine is running.
iMystic
yeah, i guess so. I think i've just fallen into the fabled 'figures' trap. I knew this would happen if i didn't see the numbers i was expecting! Cheers for all the input folks, I'm still going to continue along the same route as i had planned, decat, plenum spacer & then down to RS Tuning for the magic touch. I'll try schedule a trip back to Hypertech again for another run on their rollers too & see how the numbers compare!
spursmaddave
On the flip side my 2004 Zed with 90k+ run on Sainbury's Super went to Abbey and was 285 with plenum spacer, HFC's, Milltek & a standard airbox before Mark started to tinker
Mark@Abbey m/s
The cars do give the power what Nissan say but as Jez and ourselves how found you do get an occasionally car that doesn't give the bhp it should and to be honest we cant work out why , you might be correct Neil run in procedure usage could all be the reason some cars don't give good stock bhp. We have found you need to give the car 4/5 runs on the dyno to get the car run consistent bhp.
NathWraith
It is strange why some cars run so low on BHP. Hell my old N/A 94 Supra ran 224BHP last year and it had done 100K+ with no mods! This makes me very anxious to dyno my car in august!
