Chesterfield
The footballer was given a 12-match ban and fined £75,000 after being sent off on the final day of the season for elbowing Carlos Tevez in the face in a game against Manchester City. Immediately after the sending off, Barton kicked Sergio Aguero in the back of the knee and tried to headbutt Vincent Kompany. When Barton played for Manchester City he was fined £60,000 for stubbing out a lit cigar in a fellow player's eye during a Christmas party. He was sold by the club after putting his teammate Ousmane Dabo in hospital after attacking him at Manchester City's training ground in 2007, for which he received a four-month suspended sentence for assault. He served 77 days of a six-month sentence for common assault and affray in 2008 for an incident in Liverpool city centre in which he punched a man repeatedly until the man lost consciousness. He then attacked a 16-year-old, leaving the teenager with broken teeth. What a grade A tosser. If he hadn't got a footballers salary and lawyers, he would have been banged up for a long time long ago. Carry on with that "invincible" attitude and sooner or later he will get cracked good and propper by someone. Hopefully.

spursmaddave
When you actually think about it he has had the equivalent of being told not to turn up at work for 3 months and forfeit a weeks wages, for someone with his past record that is pathetic and sends out a message that you can just about do whatever you want to do with little repercussion. Bit like another convicted sexual abuser that is still playing professional football.... Mary had the 'pleasure' of looking after him and said he was a nasty pathetic woman hating racist, but he still got a contract as soon as he got out

spursmaddave
Shame the FA can't dock QPR 2 points retrospectively and relegate them, would serve them right for employing such a waste of skin...

coldel
...on that note, footballers should be categorically banned from twitter - as it systematically shows them up for the utter imbeciles they are.
