FUG
anyone purchased and fitted these?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHROME-Indica ... 230b4482fe the little nibs are too big for a snug fit into the 350z bulb holder - dont get that click and they stick out a bit (work fine but dont really like leaving them half hanging out incase they drop into headlamp) are these the wrong bulbs (silvertec fakes??) or is slight modification needed? (i have tried brute force) the packaging was also different to these silvertec bulbs off a proper mds website http://www.performancecreations.co.uk/s ... -675-p.asp little nibs as in bottom left corner are larger on the 'silvertec' bulbs compared to the nibs on the original and so do not click into the holder properly - wrong bulbs or diy needed?? sorry to keep reposting this - currently have the bulbs out and looking for quick answer before it gets dark!! JT350GT4
Don't know if it helps but mine aren't true Silvertec ones and came just had a plainish blue background to the cardboard and they fitted? Btw the ebay link says the listing has ended?
FUG
Did the click into position and fit right down to the base? I mean i can squeeze probably half the bulb in and they work but it cant be right. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHROME-Indica ... 230b4482fe
JT350GT4
Mine were a little tighter but squeezed in down to the base yeah.
FUG
not sure whether to try modifying the bulbs, perhaps filing the nib down to fit (kinda tricky with the glass bulb) and not sure whether to try get refund. Might even just spray the originals silver, least I know they will fit then!!
M13KYF
I'd be careful with silvertec bulbs anyway, some batches are quite dim and police have pulled members over for them
FUG
Hmm they seemed bright enough once plugged in but were otuside the light unit at that point. The packet says they are not e- marked but there is clearly an E mark on the actual bulb (E8 i think from memory although not sure what EU country that is meant to represent ) - legal or not?? CrustyCrab
Having trawled the forum and finally decided to go for silvatec i have one question about indicator bulbs in general; How have I ended up buying these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHROME-Front- ... 1105wt_689 When I should have bought these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHROME-Indica ... _798wt_689 ??? Have I totally missed something or is there two variants? I used various websites, putting in my reg# and I keep getting told 581 Offset pin type indicator bulbs but they are blatantly meant to be the BU582 T20 Capless Wedge type. Normally I can work this stuff out but I'm really stuck lol Cheers For ref its a '53 plate
Beavis
Top ones are defo not for a 350z
JackStrong
I made the same error as you. bought from the first link. They will not fit! The pictures on both those listings are accurate but only the 2nd ones will fit.
CrustyCrab
Top ones are defo not for a 350z Well I know that now but what really annoys me is that most websites with a bulb finder say they are the ones to get... So the second lot are correct for front and rear?
