Bonnet Refresh

Seeing as the heavens stopped chucking water down, thought I'd swap bonnets and give the CF Bonnet some TLC.

Some of the blemishes

Thanks guys :)

Let this be a warning tho, after thinking what caused the damage in the first place, it was seagull poop, so wipe off as soon as you see it.

Might have to do another pass tho, when the rainclouds don't look so threatening in the sky, lol

Nice one it came out well

Dunno what you were worried about ;)

It was the worry of putting whats basically sandpaper to my rare bonnet, having never done anything like it before :)

See that would worry me a lot too!

I guess after it has been flattened back with the wet 'n dry the compound you used was some special polishing compound to restore the lacquer using a electric polisher or something?

impressed with how well it came up

Thanks, yes once flattened with the W&D I used Meguiars Ultimate Compound.

Although I do have a DA polisher, I decided to do it by hand because I wanted more "feel".
