Humpy
Been to my local car audio specialists and looks like im taking the plunge into the realms of a new head unit. Dont worry im not going to ask any questions that I cannot search... well maybe Getting my Iphone 4s soon and wanting to use this with the new head unit. The unit itself I wll not be fitting, im terrible with cars in general! As always it's down to the individual as to what they are after just wondering if anyone has opinions on the below head units im looking at. 1) http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alp-cde ... 235bt.html - Cheapest of the 3 and functional. 2) http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/29 ... index.html - Media centre, just how good are these? 3) http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/10 ... index.html - Looks good.... Option 2 & 3 are quite a big price jump from option 1..... Choices choices! Hopefully SMD has some more intel as you seem to be the resident guru Thanks for looking Steve. Humpy
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_265857 Strange, just saw this deal on Hotukdeals.com about 5 mins ago. So decided to buy it, looked like most stores were selling out very quickly! So does Buster have this model then? Thanks Steve.
Freebird
That Sony jobby looks the business doesnt it, I might be tempted to grab one of these too...damn this forum making me part with money
KyleR
I was looking at that Sony earlier before work and was pretty tempted. But it doesn't have Bluetooth or Satnav and for the money it was before the price crash, it really should have. I'm having a bit of trouble finding the perfect stereo with all my requirements, DVD, Satnav and Bluetooth music.
spursmaddave
That Sony looks nice, but like an DFS sofa the 'original' price is just rediculous!!!! Get it fitted before saturday so I can have a look at PS

Get it fitted before saturday so I can have a look at PS Yeah looks good, if all goes according to plan I will pick up tomorrow from the local branch. The head units I looked at yesterday didnt need a new fascia, so not sure if that will be the case with this one. Also doubt that the same company will want to fit my head unit so will need to find someone else to fit it who knows what they are doing. Plus I need to order the extra wiring looms or whatever they are called, which I need to investigate further into. So basically what im saying Dave, no chance for it being fitted for Port Solent! Booooo  I picked up my JVC on a saturday morning and it was fitted by lunchtime I think you will need a fascia whatever headunit you get unless it is curved like the Zed dash Ican recommend incartec for everything you need, give them a call, tell them what you have, give them you card details.... sorted

It does what I need it to do basically, plays music from usb and have the use of watching dvd's etc when needed and with Buster's modifcation the sound level is pretty mental. Looks and works very well in general, all very simple to use and operate. Obviously this unit does not have the sat nav or blue tooth that you are wanting so might not be the one for you....
