Mrdeli
I've been having a good look around the engine and have noticed a few tiny cracks to the outside of the belts. The insides don't show any cracks. Are these outer cracks cause for concern? I presume the belts drive the ac and alternator - or do they do something which would cause harm to the engine if they snapped? Thanks mark. ATTAK Z
water pump ? ... power steering ? But not the cams ... there's a chain for that ... never heard of a belt failure but I guess you'd know about it as the bells and whistles will sound on the gauges and the steering would become impossibly heavy
MITZ@CougarStore
For what little they cost I would be inclined to get them changed, they need to be done every 5 years, or 45,000 miles or when they show signs of cracks, this is what we usually suggest... We have the belts available here -Â http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main ... cPath=1_12
14N
Exactly as CS says, for the sake of £30, I'd change them. I (well, me and my mechanically minded mate) changed mine at the weekend. Really easy DIY job, you just need a socket set and this guide... http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php ... eplacement
