Ricey
Ok, question, should I lacquer the VHT paint on th calipers with VHT lacquer or leave well alone? We use normal 2k lacquer on calipers and haven't had any problems :-)

ilogikal1
Thanks mucker Spoke to ioneabee earlier and he did VHT lacquer his last year. Will 2k lacquer react with the VHT paint? Can you lacquer over the Brembo stickers? I seem to recall (perhaps from Brake Caliper Specialist) that the advice was not to lacquer over stickers. If I can find it again I'll stick the link up. It might be quicker to drop them a message and ask them though. ETA - found it; http://www.brake-caliper-painting.com/brake_caliper_decals.html#LacqueringDecals Edited April 6, 2015 by ilogikal1
DoogyRev
Nice find Never thought about any air under the sticker expanding and cracking the lacquer

glrnet
Had half an hour or so this evening so decided to try and solve the one thing that's been bugging me for ages. Wheel nuts. I bought a set of these from Driftworks recently:- But then saw how crappy the coloured coating/anodising is, Grundy posted a picture of some recently and they really were a mess after not much use. So I decided to take the colour of the visible end with some 600 wet and dry and it turns out they are chrome underneath. Gave them a polish with some metal polish and the trusty buffer and they look ok to me. Will give them a coat of White Shark Sealant (the same stuff i use on my wheels) and they will do. If any further coating comes off using the supplied spline drive socket taking the wheels off then it won't matter as it won't show.
