taffyjason
After installing some nice shiny exhaust parts, i have two parts of the car, the subframe and some sort of brace or bracket that are rusty, as you can see in the pic... What's the best way of dealing with this? I was thinking brush off as much rust as possible then maybe coating in some hard wearing paint? Dblock
hydrate 80 to treat then paint over or, deox gel then brush and rinse then paint over or protect.
leonk
I used Kurust rust treatment on mine after a good wire brushing off and then smoothrite satin black if that is any help to you. And as Keyser said took them off first.
speedwell
those colours almost gave me a fit! any type of paint you recommend? Hammerite? No..it used to be good, but since it's gone to a greener formula it's poor.
taffyjason
well of course i'll take them off first, i'll get the garage to use the air line to wire brush them off and i'll find some anti rust treatment
