loulouj
Hi everyone How difficult is it to change the seats, gear stick and steering wheel trim on a 350z? I'm a girl and dont have loads of knowledge on how to do this stuff so just an overview as I can probably get someone to do all the fitting for me. I'm very close to buying my first 350z and have found a very nice one but dont like the orange interior and would quite like to put black leather in instead. Any help or tips appreciated! rtbiscuit
not a major ball ache, but if you don't have a selcection of tools i'd take it to my local garage and they'd charge you very little to do it for you. probably an hours labour

Is it an easy job even if you have the GT version with heated seats? Do many people want to swap or sell seats and other bits on here often? Sorry for all the blonde questions! rtbiscuit
from memory its 4 bolts per seat in the seat frame to the car, 1 bolt in the side of the car for the seat belt. and a plug for the heat and electric controls. steering wheel is a bit more fiddly 4 hex fittings in the casing around the wheel and a big sodding great hex nut on the steering, as well as removinbg the air bag etc.

loulouj
buy one with black leather seats ha ha I know, if only it were that simple. Trouble finding one from a dealer with all the right spec and good price with a good service history and that will part exchange my current car (207cc)

loulouj
Thanks for the location hint. I have now updated it. I haven't actually bought a 350z yet. So was just an enquiry as have seen a few i like just not the interior lol. My other half has a lot of contacts so would be able to get someone to fit bits for me. Was just wondering how much it might cost me to swap etc and whether its something people do and how easy it is to do.

I think I am probably ok on the fitting side of things. It was more the actually obtaining the seats and getting rid of the orange ones I was concerned about? Dont want to have to shell out hundreds if i can avoid it!
rtbiscuit
your always able to put up a swap on the forum, lots like the tangerine leather and would be willing to swap for black leather, only issue is they or you might need to travel to do it. spursmaddave
The seats are really easy to remove, a couple of clips and 4 bolts
