Yeah it was amazing mate - I only did dessert once and it was the tempura ice cream. Not a dessert kinds guy - it takes away extra space for beer! Wasso
Looks real nice Can't believe after all that food you ate a 3 week old donkey, that's just not on. What happened to the history and sight seeing. Although to be fair I'd be stuffed after a small donkey.

Cragus
Hotel was out of this world! Facilities, drinks, restaurants and service were superb. The only thing that bothered me was that some people ( mainly Americans if I am honest) were hugely rude to the staff - i got the impression that they saw them as being 'below' them. The staff ran to their every need and were so polite and helpful. Whats more many of the rude ones didn't tip. This annoyed me, especially when they come from a tipping culture and Mexican staff live in such poor conditions. I made friends with a few of the staff that work there, in particular one of the bar keepers. I knew that they were paid poorly but didn't realise how poorly. 6 dollars a day for an eight hour shift with no break. We ended up tipping highly everywhere when I found this out. I really wanted to see the Mayan tower etc but I couldn't go the two and a half hours bus journey - I'll save that or next year. As for the donkey - I could only manage a small one with fries. John tarantula
Looks lovely! was it Cancun? had honeymoon there and loved it if you do go back do your best to get to the Mayan ruins, very worth it and good to get out of the more touristy bits. Chichen Itza good but Palenque very nice as well but a lot further I need to go back one day as well.

maxi-glasgow
Know what you mean about being rude to the staff, when we went to the Dominican Republic we were eating a meal on the terrace one night and there was only one other table with about 6 or 7 young guys who were American. One guy lifted a cigarette and said 'light boy' to one of the young waiters, me and the missus had to be escorted off the premises as we went mental... Really fancy going to Mexico though, mate just back from Cancun and he said was he best holiday he has had.
