bmg
strange day actually, found a car in the same area same colour and same mileage. Turned out it was the car i was going to see tomorrow. But for 7k. It was nice, some service history, but MOT ran out in may , so did tax and it needed front (rear) bush done for the MOT. Wasn't willing to budge.. Without an MOT don't think its worth the risk of getting it month later £400 quid for bushes, £270 for tax, then insurance. Am back up to the dealers price i nearly paid of 8500.. So the hunt continues, am going to stick by what i actually want. UK car, and really want leather , electric seat ( sad but true) ive got more to spend for the right car, but it needs to be the right car...On the test drive tonight i was only the passenger, but Fecking hell , cAn these cars go.. Even more in love with them now Thanks everyone so far for the warm welcome and excellent info. being basically dumb to the 350z , am expecting around a 50k, UK, 2005 ish with service history ideally with gt spec.. around 8K. Is this realistic B

brillomaster
hehehe totally sounds like im winning, mine was a 53 plate UK car, GT spec, FSH, 41k on the clocks for £6,800... definitely keep shopping around, although prices will be on the rise with the approach of summer (i bought mine the day it started snowing in february )
Zugara
Think you will be disapointed as it is very basic and has no steering wheel controls or goodies. I would hold out for a better one

bmg
I personally would leave it at that price. Just as a comparison i picked mine up for 8k with 38k miles 2 months ago. I know its a year older but its a UK car with full service history. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-G ... 900wt_1139 ^^^^^ Could be a better buy. thanks for that one

bronzee
Prices vary, as do the specs. Basically, if you find one that you're happy to pay the money for and it's in good condition in all aspects, jump on it.

Thoughts... ive got the zed bug bad That's overpriced in my opinion. Just bought my Kuro Black '04 GT with 65k for £6.5k in February. There's no difference between the 04 and 05 cars, just the late 06 I believe is the facelift with different interior, slightly higher revving motor/ a few extra BHP, different bonnet and lights. For an 05 GT with 41k i'd be looking to pay about £7,250 at the very most if it's got a good service history and is mint. Add another £250 if it has Ray's. bmg
it was more the warranty, full service, tax and mot i liked. id really like one with a warranty. i can spend up to 10k if needed
KyleR
it was more the warranty, full service, tax and mot i liked. id really like one with a warranty. i can spend up to 10k if needed I looked a few before making my purchase, all had full service history, most do. I also never encountered one that didn't have MoT or at least wouldn't be put through it before the purchase was final. As for tax, negotiate it in tot he deal, it's only £270 and most sellers would knock that off the price or tax it for you, even 6 months would do. Most warranties aren't worth the paper they're printed on, especially ones from Warranty Direct, RAC, etc. But if you really feel you need one, set it up yourself for about £600 a year. But IMO it's not worth it as 99% of the time if something does go wrong it'll cost less than that to fix yourself, and probably won't be covered anyway. rmacnair
it was more the warranty, full service, tax and mot i liked. id really like one with a warranty. i can spend up to 10k if needed I just bought my roadster, which isn't the GT unfortunately, so I know you can't necessarily compare directly, and paid £9,975. Its a 57 reg, 32k miles and has 6 months tax, 6 months MOT, fully serviced, new brake discs. I also got the next 3 services and MOTs for a £320 one off fee. You can get so much more for your money, just keep looking and be patient.
bmg
ive managed to get them down to 8600, just seeing how far i can push them. if they went to 8k it buy it right now.with having no experience of these cars its hard to see what a good price. dont ,ight spending that little bit extra for a good yin. its had 1 owner from new as well, there grading to 370. its got rays as well
KyleR
Just keep in mind that if you do get him down to £8k, you'll have just paid £1.5k more than I did for the same car a year younger. Mileage isn't really that important when the cars we're talking about are 7-8 years old, so long as it's not excessive, it's been well serviced and not abused. I know you're dieting to get a Zed, but that doesn't mean you have to buy this one for a dealer inflated price because it's there now! KyleR
Look on Gumtree, I'm not sure of your exact location, but here is an 06, 29k miles, Azure, looks mint, GT, advertised for £8.5k, I'm sure he'll take under £8k cash. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-moto ... z/99995562 there's also a sunset coupe, same spec, but it's an 04 with the sexy coloured interior 35k miles but it's about £1.5k over priced even though it's still with the original owner. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-moto ... /100537998
bmg
hi mate, basically been getting sh/t of the mrs about buying the car and she would prefer me to buy off a dealer. i know i could get a better deal going private but i just dont know that much about cars, bikes yes just not to much about cars. ive got a friend of a friend thats going down to the dealers tommorrow for me down south, to have a good look at the car. from the pictures ive seen its mint got the kinda orange interior, full spec. rays and one owner from new. paying a grand extra for some peace to enjoy my new toy from the mrs and my sister, is money well spent i think. id only have spent the money on more carbon fiber for my bike i thinks. the cars you sent look good although am not keenh on the automatic. also the sunset coulours a bit wild. il keep u posted b

bmg
Couldnt hold off any more. The dealers have agreed to put new rear discs on the car as well. Taxed, mot, warranty one owner from new.
