Shinjuku
Does anyone on here have chrome valve stems and caps on their car. I want to put some on my standard 18s. Can anyone make a recommendation? Thanks Shinjuku

Shinjuku
Are these valve stems?
SteveRS
No just caps, plastic so they won't corrode onto your stems. I don't think I've ever come across covers for the actual stems.
Shinjuku
This is what I was thinking of. They look pretty nice. My wheel refurbisher might do them. I will check.

Shinjuku
Yes, that's similar to what I had in mind. How do I make the link in my post above produce a picture like that?
sparky370z
this is from my photobucket account. its what i have fitted to my wheels you would have to find an image code and paste it into the text box

Shinjuku
Back in the game on image linking. Oh yeah. Anyway, back to these stems. Have you got those on your car Dave? I browsed the bay but there was a lot of choice about lengths, widths etc. Was hoping someone would pop up and linky me to the effect of "I've got these. They are awesome. You should purchase." Nope not got them on mine, I do have Zed dust caps though. I guess length is up to you really.... does size make a difference
Shinjuku
Not sure. Clearly Sparky350z's hole is a lot tighter than the one on my old girl though, so I suspect girth could be a determining factor. Bottom line though is that you would not want to have your stem too short; it might not be possible for the female connector to get good purchase leading to problems when pumping. Shinjuku
Its nice to participate somewhere I'm still at the younger end of the demographic! Still not sure I feel where Watshot is coming from though. Is he suggesting that my humor is so bad as to be from the early 1970s or so good that I must have lifted the line from a comedy programme? His programmes were full of innuendo, I think Watshot was referring to you saying that sparky's hole was too tight and that your short stem might need pumping into a female connector
