squit
My front windscreen wipers are bubbly and corroded so I'd thought take em off and respray them. After spending several hours wiggly and pulling them they refused to come off I had read on one of the posts that some one had used a two leg puller to get theres off so I ordered one from ebay. When it arrived though it was a lot bigger than expected and wouldn't get under the wiper arms I was just wondering if anybody knows what size puller they used, so I can try and buy the right one
witstu
I normally can get them off with some decent leather gloves on once the nuts have been removed. A finger under each side and a good uniform tug.Whatever you do dont be tempted to lever on the glass!!!
Dicky
Did mine for the same reason a couple of years ago. There on a spline if I recall correctly so you may have to carefully give them a tap with a plastic mallet hammer to brake the crud holding them. Take care when wacking them though. Get the wife to do it then you can blame her if the widscreen cracks
MDMetal
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=59383 contrary to whats been posted the trick is to push and pull the wipers gently towards and away from the glass, once they do this and you can feel the spring resistance theres a mid point where you can just lever them off, just pulling without having them in the right position can cause damage.
