AMT
Ok, were gettin' close to buyin a zed... bout 5 weeks in fact (thanks taxman )....but I've got a serious question... Where in North Lanarkshire (I'm inbetween Glasgow n' Edinburgh)... is their a decent Service/Repair place that I can trust and doesn't cost a bomb??? I use a local place I trust just now, but the Zeds a bit more special than my coupe, so I want somewhere whos gonna treat it right and use the right oil etc.... Any ideas??? (Tranquill bass / Neil, wheres urs done??) Cheers!

LRF4N
I used to use autosafe bellshill cos they had a very low ramp and they were cheap. And the guy was my patient so he knew if he done anything to my car his teeth were comin oot And there's the garage in Motherwell as well. Known as skyline specialists but the owner now has a zed so it would be in safe hands there as well
The G Man
It's actually called "The Garage", in Motherwell. Don't forget, Infiniti at Braehead offer really competitive rates for club members, both places treat your car with total respect. I've had work done at both and they both impressed. You'll get some nice scenery as well at either place, one full of Skylines/Scoobies/RX7's/Street Sleepers etc and the other some unusual luxury cars
ZMANALEX
Unfortunately I could not recommend "The Garage" as they recently fooked up on a Brembo caliper replacement which caused me grief and the guy that phoned me from "The Garage" had a personality disorder. I have had dealings with Infiniti Braehead and to say that they are lacking in Nissan 350z/370Z knowledge would be an understatement. However if you care to contact Nobles in Edinburgh the Nissan GTR R35 High Performance Centre, then I am sure that you will be a happy chappy as they will look after you and your car. If you would be more comfortable with an introduction then please do let me know Alex
Neilp
I bought my car from nobles and they were great. I bought my own parts and they done the service for a hundred quid. Just a bit of a journey to get there though. I have also use the garage and although alex had issues with them I really can't say a bad word about them. They have always had awesome prices and always look after me well
AMT
Alex Noble n' Son Edinburgh... I was gonna mention it, but left it out due to looking for a specialist to see what people came up with. I test drove a 350 out there and the guy was brilliant. So glad to hear there ok, as main dealer are usually kac. Although its got GTRs lined all up out front so.... hmm lol. Plus when I was there the guy said that the dealership was the only High performance centre for Nissan in scotland? Or the main one... something like that. I wouldn't mind buyin off them, but their quite dear! I looked at one in Falkirk and the price was lower cos it was in a Mazda garage... but the whole place was one, with nissan and something else. I'd like to buy it from a place like that so I can get a Nissan yr warranty of some sort but take it to Nobles to get anything done lol. Oooh do you know them at Nobles Alex? Any club discounts? lol! I remember the guy, still got the Card. Ian his name. (I keep a note of genuinely nice salesman so I ask for them specifically... a.. cos i want someone i like and is nice to talk to and b im happy giving the bonus to them... )
Neilp
It was Richard who sold me my car at nobles
thetranquilbass
I've used both The Garage and Infiniti since getting the Z last year and cannot fault either. Am not dismissing Alex's experience with The Garage but like George and Neil have been well cared for when my car has been in with them. Also the prices for there cars are a bit more than the rest, however the more that they lump on, then the more they can take off The techies that work on the 350/370 are the same guys that are factory trained for the GTR R35 John Allan or Richard are the guys to talk to in sales and the MD is David Noble who is constantly on site and is hands on and very approachable. Courtesy cars, free coffee and free wash and valet are all the nom. Alex
Neilp
Yep nobles are very good. I turned up late and missed getting the 370z test car and ended up with a pixel haha. Darren is who I always dealt with also in service department. There's and Ikea down the road for some cheap grub and a wander while you wait on your car getting done. The only this is, it is a bit of a treck from us.

Yeah prices are a bit...high. I actually test drove a 350Z from their last year i think it was (u'll find it sitting next to mine on my pic ..Left <---- lol) had about 43K or sumthing on it, drove fine. It was doable but after thinking about it it would be a lot a month for the amount they were asking. It was still up for sale last time I looked a couple of months ago...... infact hold on..... nope gone, must have sold or they've flogged it to another dealer or sumthin. It really was their for a looooong time. Think when i test drove it the battery needed jumped. But could not fault the service, I rocked up in my HYUNDAI and started looking about this 3.5 V6 and not an issue, let me test drive it that day. Even sent the guy a nice email to say i wasn't taking it but how pleased i was with the service! If theres a 06+ in their with 25-35K in the next 5 weeks... you better believe am their I'll maybe take a drive down to this "Garage" place and have a peek, see what I think. I've known about somewhere down their , just didn't know if they were crap or not lol. I've looked after my current car, but don't think ill thrash the Zed about as much, I want to have it for as long as possible... Cheers for the help everyone!! Greatly appreciated! Best thing I've done is join this forum, since thinking about a Z!
LRF4N
There's also a performance Nissan dealership in Darnley, J3 off the M77. Had a part replaced by them on the skyline. Supplied it myself. Can't remember about the price but the customer service was good
