Teemsta
Hi, Even though I love it it, I've decided to sell the 350z for something a little more frugal I've been offered a part ex of £5.5k against a £14k car, but I'll be honest this seems really low. I've checked eBay and trader and most are priced above this, but if they are actually selling or not at these prices is a different matter. This is the second time in so many days I've been offered this price by two separate dealers. Heres the spec: 2004 350z with GT pack and Birdview sat nav, UK CAR Manual 64k mileage 5 owners Gunmetal silver Black powdercoated Rays FSH but service due (last was a P3) 6 months tax 3 months MOT Custom made (like for like for standard) exhaust 350z genuine floor and boot mats Fantastic condition inside and out and 100% mechanically sound, stone chips on front bumper and thats only negative really. Bought for £8k a year ago, in real world terms I was expecting £6.5k What do you guys think? Cheers
ChrisS
That's about right for a dealership trade in. Crap aint it.
CaptainSensible
Does seem pretty stingy, but I guess the market for thirsty sports cars is pretty limited at the moment, hence the low price.
Teemsta
I'll be honest I was genuinely surprised at such a poor valuation, but on the other hand the only reason I'm selling it is running costs so maybe it is to be expected the way things are now. My last car was high powered and petrol and it was a bloody nightmare to sell private, so maybe I will just bite the bullet and do the part ex. Still, £2.5k is a bitter pill to swallow! Sarnie
Just sell it private if you don't like the price....................
KyleR
Dealers and private sellers are selling a car like yours for about £6.5k at the moment, £5.5k trade in is actually a good price. At the end of Feb I bought pretty much exactly the car you're selling except in Kuro black for £6.5. With a bit more negotiating, I probably could have got another couple of hundred off. MidnightRacer
I agree. It should sell for about £6995 on a forecourt so it sounds about right. Its also worth a mention that the dealer will have to pay VAT on the profit he makes which could knock £300 off his profit straight away! marzman
Very fair trade in price that. As Sarnie says - sell it privately if you want more.
