FUG
Anybody had experience with a full stainless steel Milltek exhaust system on their 350z including the Y-Piece, centre section and rear silencer. Any useful insight into what I may be getting myself into would be much appreciated! Nice sound? Any performance increase? any depreciation on mpg? big hike in insurance premium for having it on? wear and tear; is it long lasting? etc Cheers

spursmaddave
1. - go to top right hand corner of the forum (any page) 2. - next to the big magnifying glass there is a box with 'search' in it 3. - type in Milltek and click the magnifying glass The wonders of the search
coldel
Plenty of owners on here with it, lots of postings too - give the search button a try in the top right corner. I got one on my 04 plate Zed. The sound if described would be 'nice' not overbearing but shouts a bit when you rev hard. My insurance went up £20 with it installed. So far lasting fine, got mine in used condition though off a member off here so its about a year old I would say. Performance will only increase when accompanied with an uprev. MITZ@CougarStore
It's a great system, all the ones we have supplied and also fitted have gone on with Zero issues... Has the car you've seen got the Milltek fitted...
spursmaddave
9 matches with Milltek in the title in the Exhaust section.... Who would have thought that
spursmaddave
Page 1 of 54 [ Search found 800 matches ] Completely wasting your time mate. I am against being rude to new members who take the time to post up a nice big thread saying they are looking for this or that because we should all be nice to newbies and if they post up an interesting bit of blurb then fair enough... But all the 'anyone got this or that' posts are getting stupid now

FUG
Has the car you've seen got the Milltek fitted... It does indeed. Wanted a totally standard car initially but tbh a better system is probably what I need as I have had no end of toruble with my stock exhaust on current car. Just wanting to make sure there wasnt going to be any hidden suprises!
coldel
Its a good exhaust, even if you wanted to change it you would get a good price on here for sale - would be snapped up in an instant
FUG
I did try the search button to begin with but as Ricey has pointed out there are literally hundreds of posts with the keyword Milltek in them, a lot of which are irrelevant to what I need to know or are part of the 370z forum. Just needing to know the answers to my original post asap that was all - sorry for the newbie approach!

You'll be fine, in the 5 years we've been dealing with Milltek they've been trouble free, the OEM exhaust eventually gives up in the usual area, so its one area you won't have to focus on... Fair enough, you are best to use the advanced search then you can select the area (350z Exhaust obviously) and even "Milltek" in the title of the post that narrowed it down to 9 posts all with good info. This is my personal favourite thread ( Unless you searched for Brokeback / Bromance or Manlove you would miss it ) http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=42832&hilit=brokeback
Will370z
Loved my milltek, sounded great and no fitment / quality issues for me. Some people find the milltek too quiet. Its a lovely quality sound that doesnt drone and sounds great when you put your foot down. But like many others i wanted more so i added the berks hfc and omg. I often say it was like giving the berks viagra. The car sounded amazing. Its currently a very popular combination amoungst members. Ive since sold my milltek on but the car that has it came to visit at the weekend. I heard it approach the house and it sounded fantastic. Instantly wanted it back. My advice would be to attend a local meet and see/ hear the cars and talk to the owners. Youtube never does the exhausts justice.

The search isn't the easiest to use but give it a go (advanced) if you can before asking as 99% of what you want to know will be in there somewhere. Then if you get stuck put something up
