taffyjason
My diff is apparently on the way out, or at least needs rebuilding, my options so far are: 1/ find someone who can rebuild it, which so far has drawn a blank 2/ Fit a Quaif LSD, which after talking to them will fix and improve the unit, costing £600 (approx) 3/ Or after searching the breakers, there's a low milage 2006 model with its LSD on offer, £300 delivered, obviously hours fitting and removing my old one. Any ideas fellow Zedders?
ZMANALEX
There are loads of after market LSD available from 1.5 to 2.0. All depends what you are planning to use the car for (track)? If you want a preowned OEM VLSD then I have them in stock at £250.00 mate. Alex
taffyjason
well im just weighing up my options at the moment, shall i upgrade to something tougher for future mild track use ( as i want to still have it day to day use ), i will be doing some mild engine upgrades, so already upped my clutch, how much can a standard LSD handle? Is your OEM LSD low mileage?
Dblock
Who said its on the way out? as its a Vlsd (unless its broken inside) should need new fluid and it will work again no?
taffyjason
i had a motorsport engineer at Donnington drive it, the droning at the centre rear starts at 40mph and progressively gets worse, when iu change direction, in one turn it gets quieter, the other, gets louder, under decelleration under no power, gets louder...he is convinced it is the LSD we checked the bearings before, so other than that, what's left?
