keith12
Was having a nice drive round north Wales yesterday when I noticed the exhaust getting louder and louder. took a look under the back box to find it had broken off the flange, still it sounded nice. Anyway I need to get it replaced asap as its my only drive so I was wandering does anyone know of a supplier and fitter in the Birmingham area or do the traders on here use anyone in the Birmingham area. There is one place here making and fitting bespoke exhausts so I was wandering as anyone used them and are they any good. Cheers. http://www.midlandsexhausts.com/
BulletMagnet
If you like the OEM exhaust, you could seek out an exhaust fitter that could cut the old flange out and replace it. That would prolly be the cheapest option and be reassured, that flange goes on every Zed over time
keith12
I actually liked the sound with the breakage, I used to have a vx220 with sports exhaust sounded great. Thanks anyway
Freebird
Well from looking at the site they have done a lot of fairly nice cars i.e. multiple c63 amg mercs. I too have been looking at these guys in the past for a custom single exit option (just never got round to contacting them regarding prices) but they have various options on ebay where you "win" the auction and they wil do you a custom exhaust to your specification ranges from a shade over £200 to nearly £600 (I think that is for a dual system). They also say lifetime warranty on their work so cant imagine you can go wrong really? Brum is a bit of a trip for me or I would have gone up and had a look tbh. I too used to have a VX220 (NA) piper catback system and on occasion I would fit the decat pipe but that was silly loud haha.
keith12
May give them a call tomorrow, fancy the mid priced one on flea bay but they do look a professional outfit. Worth a try
Freebird
I think they look ok to me, let us know how it goes

keith12
Booked in for tomorrow, going for the mid priced duel pipe and back box. Let you know afterwards.
MaDMaXX
Interested in the work and sound you get. If you just get some pipes modded from the mid pipe to some exits, it does sound pretty good. Don't have straight pipes fitted inside the back box though, i just did that and it's boom city i'm afraid
keith12
Got the new exhaust fitted yesterday, looks good very well fitted, the lads took a good couple of hours to mod it to my roadster being slightly different underneath. The sound is not to bad, not to loud and has a deep tone to it especially on acceleration. I will try to put some sound to it a bit later if the rain stops. The actual unit is just outside the City centre so I went into town for a walk and had breakfast while they fitted it.
